Sounds fishy and trollish to me. Likely someone has a beef with the vendor, or this is an ambush attempt for marketing. Given the post - better advice is to watch what you do with your trash.

Wouldn't following a few well worn security rules be wiser than being so extreme?

Don't go in a vehicle registered to your grow or park a half mile down Rte 1 and walk to the store. Since Rt 1 is split and one way on each side cops not going to be able to follow you back to your car without being obvious.

Don't drive directly back to your grow. How about stopping at one of the thousands of stores in Laurel on the way back? I can usually amuse myself at Lowe's for half an hour.

Always assume any hydroponics store is being watched and take precautions. Oh, and never ever throw anything that could even be remotely incriminating in your trash, regardless of whether you have a grow. It just isn't very hard to compost the organics, and carry the inorganic trash to the gas station, fast food place, other non associated trash recepticle as a matter of habit. I go a step further and shred (cross cut only) anything with with my name on it.

I don't think anyone should put too much stock in the orignal posters info without some further information. I mean, as it is, we have one guy, who has a total of ONE POST, telling us not to shop at a certaqin place. I'm sorry, but one person's opinion means very little without further facts to back it up.

Just came home from 30 something hours in HCDC..... I'm no troll. This is for real.

I Would have posted this on Overgrow where I had hundreds of posts.

Anyway, its written on all my warrants and paperwork. It was part of an "ongoing investigation that has yeilded over 10 arrest and 500 marijuana plants" In fact the papers say that the operation has been going since September 05....

The trash pull gave them enough to get a warrant to do a fly over/heat scan. I had a small piece of black/white plastic with tape and piece of flex pipe and some empty GH bottles accidently get put in with the regular trash.

Do what you want with the info. Its factual.

I always liked Brian and I wouldnt harm ANYONES business just for the **** of it...

Even though I dont know him personally, and never asked him any questions or for advice, hell, the only thing I ever asked him is "How much is this?", His shop is a sure bust.

I NEVER went straight to my show from the store. Never went in a car registered to me or the show either. They are being PAID to follow you dude, its their job. A half hour at lowes or a few hours at a chicks house wont cut it... trust me... they waited and watched and followed me. I could almost laugh at the image in my head of some idiot trying to carry a Can 100 filter a half mile down rte1... alone... For some people walking just isnt an option.

Bottom line is that the shop is being watched and people are being busted.

PERIOD.

Do what you wish with the info. My charges are major and it looks like Ill be going away for a while.

The cops would have to be magicians in order to follow me walking against traffic down Rt 1.

When I had heavy stuff I took a cab back to my vehicle.

BTW, which jurisdiction issued your warrant? MD Hydro is in Howard county, but spitting distance to Anne Arundle and PG counties, as well as a short drive to Montgomery. Not to mention DC and various VA jurisdictions.

I am sorry about your misfortune, but can't help thinking there's a little more to the story than you've related, maybe don't even know.

I was watching TV here in Maryland and just saw a TV commercial for Maryland Hydroponics. I don't remember ever seeing it. Are these new?

Hydroponics stores = cop magnets.

Do all your shopping at hydro stores online. If you need to go and get supplies, Walmart, Target, Home Depot etc have everything you need and the cops aren't watching them.

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident Oilburner, yes the trash is a severe no no, but MDHydro has been under federal and state survielance for quite a while and when it comes to people hearing what you have to say; all I can say is good luck, many people have posted this reallity before at CW and OG also. Most people don't care unless you can hand them some paperwork showing exactly whats going on and even then they won't believe it. I will say that MDhydro is not cooperating with the LEO, but for all of you who like to buy via the internet and mail I have seen 5 people totaly seperate incidents and all within the last 6 months, all get original investigations started due to purchases from from MDhydro and Ebay the last search warrant I saw stated involvement by the USPS and UPS in handing over delivery databases from certain customers, MDhydro being one of them, sad but true. I hope your story will help others to use better sense when it comes to thier families and homes. In the war on drugs its not about if, its a when scenario and so many people have learned this the hard way it almost sickens me when I think of all the false securities people will believe in rather than be sure of. If you get tagged for investigation you can bet they are going to do thier jobs and it isn't a half cocked deal, when they do it. States will spend as little as 6 months investigating you whether or not they have any proof at first, and the feds will start at 2 years worth of watching most of the time you won't know anybody is following you and watching you; until they want you to know so they can get a panick responce from you and see what you do but that is ususlly in the last few days of an investigation thats been ongoing for a while. You can't outrun a radio so walking away is just as stupid if they want to know who you are they're gonna find out, all it takes is someone waiting at the nearest intersection for your car to drive by now adays more than ever. unless you have someone willing to do the time when they can't explain where all the equipment went Hydro shops are a loosing venture for anyone that grows illegal substances and thier coconspirators. I say this from my own experiences as I too was one of the many who had a false sense of security and it cost me ten years of my freedom, my career, my mariage, and seeing my children grow up, not counting the tens of thousands of dollars I spent trying to get a decent scentence; which didn't work. My new philosiphy is if you don't know how to make yourself you don't need it, If you can't buy it from a nonsuspicious merchant you don't need it (ie.. everyday retailer like wallmart or lowes), if your trying to make money at it and you can't make more than you would need to take care of your family and legal matters after the first day of doing it, its not worth it. If you want to be an activist be an activist they get paid to be a talking head and not grow pot, it takes to long keep finding people who can carry an untainted message to the masses otherwise and the people who might support the cause are gonna distance themselves from criminals period, its just society and the way it works. All these things I learned while becoming a statistic and that is a rough way to learn. I truly hope things work out for you Oilburner and I hope others will see and heed this post.
