So i made this really cool video, and i want to post it online for others to view. The only problem is, it includes scenes of me and friends smoking marijuana. The show is obviously not acted. If i live in texas, but say the show is filmed in canada on video, should i be worried about legal repercussions? And if so, what kind of legal repercussions.

Would such a video be enough for an arrest, or just a search warrant?
I appreciate any light you may shine on the subject

yea im not too sure what would happen their... but can u see any weed?(like in a bag or bud) cause if all you see is a bong or a joint... whose to say its not tobacoo?

thats what i think as long as they can not see the weed in its own form then its good to go

and if u do get in shit for using a bong or smoking a joint just say it was staged and it was only tobacoo

to be honest bart, that is what i am worried about the least. I'm very happy with this video, and i would like nothing better than to share it with the world, i just want to make sure the world won't arrest me for it.

I would give what Bart said a second thought. You're only 21. The future is a black box at this point. Why set yourself up for failure? I'm not trying to sound like your dad, just someone who's got a more seasoned perspective.

i dont think your gonna get arrested for making a video clip that happens to have weed remarks on it

theirs tons of shows on tv that refer to pot and show people smoking it, and their not getting into trouble...

one question i have is... are you putting your name in the credits? cause that would just be stupid...

if you do decide to have credits in it, put a nickname as a credit instead of using your real name(same with your buddies)

and the chance of a cop seeing your video is slim, but do u think their gonna take their time to go after some guy who made a video, most likely not, that is if you dont use ur real name in the credits


but im stoned and getting higher and should go watch the world cup

Having your face recognized in a video isn't enough to get you arrested. It is enough to draw attention to you. Do you need your illegal activities put under a spotlight? I know I don't!

As for it not getting back to you, we had a recent story about a mother who got in trouble for putting her face in a YouTube video talking about her marijuana use.
