| About a month ago a 5 friends and I were arrested for possession. Basically waht happend is that we were in a car breaking it up, somebody called the cops and we were arrested. We were given three months unsupervised probation and our records read as a "quaf"(please excuse the possible spelling error)....because this was our first offense it doesnt show up as "guilty" on our record..because we were never really tried and convited of the crime. I live in Massachusetts and i was wondering if anyone knows if my record will ever get wiped clean.(my friend seems to think it will be erased when we turn 21) |

| It's actually a "CWOF." That stands for Continued WithOut a Finding. That means that the case is continued for a specified period of time. At the end of that time period, if you have not gotten into any further trouble, the charge is dismissed. The only caveat to that is for some offenses, such as DWI, even though the case is dismissed at the end of the time period, it can still can't towards a second offense if you are arrested for the same offense in the future. |
