backround:
me and my friend have 1 big plant like 2 feet and 2 smaller ones like 6 inches. its back in this overgrown area pretty far back like 2-3 min walk. the entrance to the area is by a hotel, not a very trafficed area but im sure someone has seen us go back there.
heres wat happened:
me and my friend were looking for water bottles to fill with water so we could water them and stuff. so we went into one of those big dumpsters, it was right next to the entrance to the area, and got some bottles out and filled them with water from the hotel faucet on the outside. then people from the hotel came out so we just took the water bottles, full of water, back into the parking lot. so we decided to go eat first so we did and when we came back we got to my car to get the water bottles and we saw a cop just pulling up to the entrance area, about 100 yards away so we werent in any immediate danger so we watched wat he did and he snooped around the entrance and then walk behind the wall into the area so we left. so im wondering if they find them will they try to find whose they were or just take them? could they finger print the pots or water bottles back there to find us? we arent sure if they found them or not because that would mean the cop would have had to walked all the way back in there looking for them which i dont think he would do because they had no reason to beleive we were growing back there unless they had seen us carrying supplies back there which is actually pretty possible. we had made a trail over the past months so they could have easly found them and if they were looking they would have probably found them. kinda bumbed but wat do you guys think will happen?

Not a thing. The police have a lot more to do than solve "the crime of the century" by fingerprinting a jug. If the cop had seen the plants he would have pulled them up and tossed them. I don't think you have to worry about a SWAT team staking out the location. Relax and quit rummaging around in the hotel dumpster.

Also, even if for some reason they did fingerprint them, they would have to have your fingerprints on file to get a match. Unless you've already been arrested and finger printed, even in the unlikely event of them doing such an investigation, you would be safe.

havnt been arrested but dont they take everyones finger prints when they are born? i might be wronge but i think they do. im not really all the worried though im just glad we werent back there when the cop came that would have deffinantly SUCKED

Those prints that go on your birth certificate are not used to track down criminals.

Big Brother hasn't quite got to the point of getting fingerprint ID at time of birth, yet, but Im sure that day will come- It'll be billed as being "for the safety of the child" but ultimately it will just be another part of the erosion of civil rights.

I would not go back, at least for awhile, or try to come at it from a different direction. Id probably consider it an aborted grow.
