| "Go to your public library,,,talk to retired police officers, judges, lawyers, political analysts. Then of course there is history itself....there is an awful lot of info available out there to research... I also merely paid attention to the news of many sources other than mainstream media......if you only knew why only certain things are reported in the mainstream news....you would be amazed......" NdicaBud I guess it's unfortunate that, as I am in my third year of my doctoral studies in US History specializing in US Foreign Intelligence and US Drug policy, and in light of the days I have spent in research in national, state, and local archives that I never thought of going to the public library, ignoring my own slate of activities, to research someone else's unsubstantiated comments. Thanks for the specifics on that. I had hoped you could have mentioned a book name or someone with some expertise particularly concerning your comment about Nixon and the mafia which I found fascinating though far-fetched. | |

| THe reason why certain things are broadcasted in the media is because thats what the majority of the people want to hear about... The majority dosnt really care about norml or the legalization movement because they dont agree with it, so you arnt going to see lots of studys and debats. If they did start airing all of that they loose ratings and eventually the network steps in and says "start making money you fools no one cares about the legalization movement." If you want to see networks airing pro legal stuff then you have to change the majoritys oppion because once they care about it then the news networks will. |

| Niteshift,, Typical,,,,deny, deny, deny, and throw all the rederick you can to keep up your war on drugs..You and Harry Anslinger could really change the world into your own little nazi camp.I could give your kind tons of evidence, and you would still keep singing the same old prejudice song..I am not alone ...for many, many americans, and abroad look and study the facts of all sides,,not just the states propoganda of fear, and prejudice. The tunnel you live in must be quite comfortable. It appears you would imprison all the founders of this country for their crimes against the state, they were smugglers, they grew hemp, used cannabis, and had a belief that all men were free....so they are criminals. You would deny anything that was against your cause,,you feel better that way...don't you Implying that I'm lying doesn't help your case. ---back at ya You speak from a zero knowledge base, particularly about your faux knowledge----back at ya That's because of your own personal prejudices----back at ya Oh, for the record, just questioning a law or set of laws that interfere with your own desires doesn't make you a patriot either. Other words apply to that, like selfish. ----back at ya No sh*t Friend. What makes you think that is how I defined it? ----with all you said I wonder how your blood pressure is doing,I bet you were really stirred up...... by the way....I spend much time with officials,,many are like you,,good thing many are not.... again.....peace to you and yours...happy holidays | |

| The majority of this site wants to hear about the drug war... so what are you trying to imply? If you want to reach a nation you need mainstream media... Try changing the majority of the general publics mind once they want weed legalized then it will happen. I think you need to be more polite to people, these boards are supposed to be used to disscuss views on certain issues, if you dont agree with someone debate it but act mature and respect the fact that some people have differnt views on differnt subjects. |

| Nbud, either you have a source to prove that you aren't pulling things out of ether or you don't, simple as that. Now you could have told me something interesting instead of pedantic ramblings. Either way I now think that you are merely full of s**t. That is too bad as I had initially hoped you were not just a troll and were a knowledgable person who could have informed me about an aspect of US drug history of which I have not researched. It's ironic in the Nixon tapes or in Halderman's diaries or in Stanley Kutler's Abuse of Power that there is no mention of your titilating though unsubtantiated theory. That does not mean that you are wrong, it just means that I categorize you as ignorant until you prove otherwise. By the way, why the *#$! would I be scared of finding out that the DEA's origins had criminal implications? Alfred McCoy in the Politics of Heroin talks about CIA complicity in global heroin trafficking networks. Gary Webb, from the San Jose Mercury Observer, did the same with the CIA-Contra-Crack cocaine connections. Numerous other authors have done the same. This is coupled with many incidents of corrupt cops, judges, Customs, Border Patrol, etc. Would my whole world come crashing down, my cerbral cortex implode, my ego be shredded due to another act of American corruption? I should think not. Again, either you can back up your claim (I only asking for a source not a freaking treatise) or you can't. Please surprise and prove to me that you are not an ignorant cretin. | |

| "Typical,,,,deny, deny, deny, and throw all the rederick you can to keep up your war on drugs..You and Harry Anslinger could really change the world into your own little nazi camp" LMFAO..........now you are so intellectually spent in just a few posts, you fall back on nazi references and Anslinger comparisons. You are so lame. "I could give your kind tons of evidence" Sure you could....just like all the evidence you're giving the rest of the people asking for it. ![]() "It appears you would imprison all the founders of this country for their crimes against the state, they were smugglers, they grew hemp, used cannabis, and had a belief that all men were free....so they are criminals." News flash sport........I wouldn't have imprisoned them for growing hemp or ussing pot because it wasn't illegal when they were alive. If they were alive when it was made illegal, they wouldn't have been the founders (or they'd be VERY old). You analogy crossed the border of stupidity. "You would deny anything that was against your cause,," Now you're just being a presumptious putz. "back at ya " You'll have to excuse me....I'm still reeling from that overwhelmingly intellectual reply........4 times no less. ![]() Are you that uninteresting in real life too? "I wonder how your blood pressure is doing,I bet you were really stirred up......" Please don't flatter yourself son........... you aren't worth getting my BP up over. You're posts have probably lowered it, since research indicates laughter lowers blood pressure. Reading your droppings has given me plenty to chuckle over. "by the way....I spend much time with officials" Regular visits to the probation officer, huh? Keep droning on Sunshine........... you've not only lost all credibility with me, but it appears that those on your side are starting to see your true colors as well.

| Okay. it appears that I am going to have to step in here. Just for those of you that might not be aware of the fact a flame war consists of posts made back and forth that are only insulting rather than productive and I think I can safely say that is where we are at here. I am closing this thread but my private message box is open to anyone that feels that something can still be salvaged from this discussion other than the practice of insulting or avoiding questions. Peace ~GG Thread Closed
