i was recently on a road trip to Canada. I am an american and was traveling to canada and was stopped at the boarder and Canadian customs found 21.9 grams of pot in my car(bad idea i know). i was charged with a civilian offence, was fined and asked to leave the country. when i asked the americans about my record they said they didnt know. my question is how does this offence affect me back in america? do i have to report this crime on applications or does it only show up in interpol searches?
please help im very confused about how this will affect my future.

for a small fee, do a backround check on yourself. That would start you in the right direction as far as what might pop up.

As far as international, was it a minor misdemeanor, no jail time I assume, so no worries I would say.....

I'm no lawyer, tho.....
