Trying to head to Jamacia but on probation

Hi everyone,

I am new to the thread and I am hoping to shed some light on our situation. My g/f and I want to head out to Jamaica late december thru July but the after Dec 31st it's highly possible that you need a passport to get in Jamaica and then get back into America. One problem....my g/f is on probation for a "conditional discharge" offense which is a misdemeanor in NJ. Long story short due to NJ's probation system its been months since she was charged with the offense and is still waiting to see A probation officer. Has any1 been able to get a passport wit h a misdemeanor on their record? I'm sure her probation officer will be cool with leaving the country for a few days since she doesn't smoke and hasn't touched or been around it for 4-5 months.

Call the place that issues passports and ask.
