Okay, about 5 months ago some buddies and I were on our way to score some bud, and we decided to smoke a bowl. So we loaded it, toked it, and I got my sack and dropped the two of them off. On my way home, my dumb ass forgot to turn the headlights on and I was pulled over, like, 7 blocks away from home... So the cop walks to my window and says, "Why don't you hand me that pipe you got there?" Well, damn. My fuckin' friend left the bowl right next to the gearshift... So he asks if I had anything else with it, and knowing plumb well he's gonna search my shit, I give him my new 1/4. So they talk with me a while, get my info and eventually they say that I wasn't high enough to be DUIed, and they asked if there was a number to get a ride home. I think for a second and give him what I thought was my cousin's number, but it was actually my ex... So ends up they let me walk home and tell me some S.K.A.T.?? guys would contact me about some kind of pot-head research. Do I have something to worry about or not? They have yet to contact me and as far as I know, those guys took off and smoked it their own selves. I'd appreciate the input.

Never heard of that. Hopefully someone else can help you out, but it sounds as if they let you off pretty easy, and it is some kind of survey, in which case you have nothing to worry about.

While anything is possible, if it is six months later and you still haven't been charged with anything, chances are that you are not going to be. I know that I can't even remember who I pulled pot off of six months ago...

I don't think you have anything to worry about. It's just an opinion because i'm not a lawyer or a cop but i would think that if you were in trouble they would have alteast given you a written promise to appear in court. Like Phuzz said, anythings possible but it really does seem like they cut you a break and were messin with your head. It's probably the least they could do as maybe a lecture and shake you up a little. Some officers feel that they have more important things to worry about than someone having a little pot, but they aren't going to let you keep it. Cops are human, just remember that they were young once too and some of them have smoked as teenagers or before going into law enforcement.

A few years ago in a nearby town there was a local cop who was busting folks and confiscating the weed and sending them on their way. (yeah who is gonna call and complain). He eventually got caught selling weed! No offense to you Phuzz.

Sounds like they may have just wanted to scare you so you wouldn't smoke again. Cops around here know better and will make you dump out your Marijuana and stomp on it if its not a huge amount(Assumeing there letting you go). Because some people will complain and the officer can get in trouble. All kept Marijuana is used for evidence and should be sent to the evidence room. But I have been in a police station where, some drugs where just laying on the ground next to there desks, maybe for there report who knows. No one else in the station seemed to care.

When I was little, I got pulled over once before I knew my rights(If I would have known, they couldn't have done what they did), for comeing out of a bowling alley, they has some guy sitting there. Why they pulled me over? My guess just for the hassle and them being themselfs...anyways they found a lighter on me and not being 18 I could have gotten a ticket for a tobacco product, thats what they said, but since it was a first offence they where going to put my name in this book they called "The Black Book". Dont know if this was a scare tactic or not, but I just took it as a joke. It was only a lighter anyways...LOL. Guess thats a real hard crime or maybe they just couldn't find anything else off me being a KID comeing out of a bowling alley, so they got pissed. Thats why where I live we have this saying, "I smell bacon, I smell grease...O it's just the [yourtownname] police"

...to the OP, you should thank the MJ gods you did'nt get arrested, prosecuted and put on probation. As for your quest. about being in deep shizznit, I would'nt worry about it too much.
