Needing a little advice here.
My daughter is 14 a kid at her school gave her a small amount of pot.
My daughter got scared and gave it to another girl who put it in her shoe.

The girls walked into class laughing and the teacher assumed they were high because they both had red eyeliner on.
The girls were searched by a female teacher and the pot was found on the other girl.
Both girls were charged with possession because my daughter told the truth about where it came from.

My daughter is going to teen court I'm all for this the program I'm hoping this will teach my daughter a lesson.

On the other hand the school is telling me my daughter has to attend a drug awareness class (12 week session) and they are trying to send my daughter to an alternative school and of coarse this will always be on her school record.

The child who gave this to my daughter left school early on this day and as far as I'm aware nothing is being done to him.

What can I do about fighting this going on her school record?

Unfortunatly, there is really nothing you can do about this. The powers that be have complete control over what happens, and we just let them grow in power.

You do realize that "its not mine" is the #1 excuse people give for being in possession of pot. If she was so scared, why not turn it in or flush it? Apparently she wasn't so scared that she had forgotten about when walking (laughing) into her classroom.

Who wears red eyeliner and do they even sell it in red? Anyone (but you) can tell the difference between eyeliner and bloodshot eyes, especially a teacher who sees kids daily wearing outragous shit.

Why would a random kid give away pot and why did your daughter accept it? IF you are expecting your daughter to grow up without being exposed to pot and having it in her life, I'm afraid it is too late. I am also going to go out on a limb and say that I think your daughter fed you a line of bull and you fell for it.

Drug test her. Buy a kit at WalMart for your own knowlege. If she comes up negative, take her to the hospital and get an official test done. This will help in her case if she was negatively accused of being high. As for the possession, I dont know what to say, especially since it was on school grounds. But definately test her first and foremost.

While Sec3 absolutely bears the truth here; in the OP's defense, he states that the lesson must be learned by his daughter.

Every child attending school is aware that it is a drug-free zone with zero tolerance for possession. This is not some secret whipped up to catch good kids in a drag net, it is reality to serve the purpose of the school - education.

That said, your daughters "school record" means diddly-squat in the real world and is not likely to hinder her progress if she is, in fact, a good student. Efforts to preserve this "record" are silly as it is not applicable to much other than college application - and a year at a community college is sufficent to eliminate the errors of a high school record for application to a University.

If the boys are giving her weed, what is she giving in return.

My advice - it time for a reality check, Dad. Your daughter is slinging some real bovine scat around here, you must ignore it. She is a child, who needs direction, and you have been given proper warning by the school. If you don't do something big and powerful here, we will be calling you Grandpa soon.

I'm with sec, Bart, and phuzz. It is extremely doubtful that your daughter is the innocent party she claims to be. She could have not accepted the pot; she could have thrown it away; or she could have informed the school authorities.

A urine test for marijuana will tell you if she is a habitual or recent smoker. You can get one at almost any drugstore.

Her junior high record will not mean anything in the future.

That's probably because they have no evidence of any wrongdoing on his part, other than your daughter's word. Who'd trust the word of a 14-year-old pothead?

[b] I was wondering that myself do you have A teenager? Why she accepted it is the million dollar question: Did I mention the other girl also stated she witnessed the boy giving this to my daughter.
Not all teenagers are liars, my daughter made a very bad choice on that day.

Negative, The results can not be used. But the test was done for my own information any way.
