Default CO vs NV

So now that elections are underway, does anyone think that the amendments to decriminalize weed in either Nevada or Colorado will pass? I think either one stands a good chance, but the polls are still bothering me.

A lot of people have and do smoke Marijuana which makes you think that there is no way it won't pass. But there are a lot of crazy people out there. Hell.. we elected bush for a second term.

I don't know. Call me a pessimist, but I'm thinking if they're willing to decriminalize, they'll want to control sales. They'll say it's to assure safety, but the intent will really be to collect revenue. We'll end up getting mid grade at a discount, but the really good stuff will only be grown in somebody's backyard or closet, and it'll still be illegal.

Even if it is decriminalized there is nothing to stop an employer from requiring you to pass a drug test so it would be a somewhat hollow victory. I believe employers will keep right on requiring test for alleged insurance issues. You never know when I might run with scissors.

One battle at a time...one battle at a time. Once Marijuana is shown to be legal, then the insurance companies will adjust their models for liablity as data comes in (since there is no data at the moment, or the data is skewed the insurance companies can say pretty much what they want)...at least we can hope they change their models.

Once the models show that liablitiy is not altared by the use of marijuana, users will have a valid arguement for fighting off drug tests for employment.
