| Re #1. It probably varies from state to state. In mine, a single seed is enough to arrest you for possession. Re #2: First, it depends on exactly how the law in your state reads. Physical possession, constructive possession etc. Personaaly, if I made the arrest, I'd have the bag processed for prints. |

| As Niteshift said, it differs from state to state and sometimes from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Answer #1 In CA you there is a minimum amount of substance required for possession due to the analyzing of the drug. A single joint does meet the minimum requirement though. Answer #2 It really all depends on the circumstances surrounding the search/detention/arrest/statements..etc...And I would also print the baggie/contraband. | |

| Thanks for the responses guys! And i guess if that were to happen, it would be a good thing the police would print the bag.

| I dont live in the US (but in New Zealand) and i was just wondering a few things about US law enforcment concerning marijuana. 1) Wheres the most creative or well hidden place youve ever found weed in a house/ apartment etc. 2) How far do you go when searching someone on the street (or somewhere else in public i.e. not at the station) 3) Concerning the lighter thing. This isnt necessarily a weed question, but can you guys actually prosecute minors for smoking tobacoo or even in possession of a lighter (unresinated)?? Here its illegal for stores to sell to under 18s but its ok if you dont get caught buying it, whats the deal there? Cheers Dudes |

| "1) Wheres the most creative or well hidden place youve ever found weed in a house/ apartment etc." Sorry, no freebies But some of the places would suprise you."2) How far do you go when searching someone on the street (or somewhere else in public i.e. not at the station) " Depends on what I'm searching for. In most cases, my reason for the search is a weapon and I will be very thorough because I'm addicted to breathing. "but can you guys actually prosecute minors for smoking tobacoo or even in possession of a lighter (unresinated)??" Lighter no. Tobacco yes. Although my state has made the first offense or two civil infractions. That means you get a fine but not jail. The first time, you can choose community service in lieu of the fine. |

| But already i have another question. Sorry. In your state whats the deal with busting people who are stoned. They arent carrying anything or doing anything wrong but they are stoned. Can you areest them and prosecute them? Here if a cop says "Alright boys hand over the weed" you can just say "nah sorry man, smoked it all" Its not a crime to be stoned. only to be in possession or mj or parepenalia. Your thoughts pls. |

| No, in my state (FL) it's not a crime to be stoned in public (althought a city may have an ordinance against it). However, in CA, for example, it is a crime. Check your local law. |
