I suppose we appeared intoxicated to a police officer and we were stopped..My freind is 17 im 20 the cops got my freinds finger prints it appeared,name, addrese and they also had him do a eyerednesstest had him call his parents in order to be picked up. I was ignored most of the time but was asked where I live more of a general location type question not addrese I told them the street and my first name. They searched both of us and my pockets guess they were looking for contraband but didnt appear to take any evidence. My freind was busted for public urination I was simple let go. My freind has a scheduled court date and everything for public urination. I suppose if they did find drugs or paraphanilia on us they would have given us charges for that and perhaps arrested me or a fine.Also my freind when he goes to court which is on public urination do you believe the judge will perhaps order me to appear in court after the hearing is it likely that this is being presented to a grandjury?

Basically my question is am I in the clear and or si it possible the police are going to bring up charges in the future.So please reply. Kinda tired of the lost sleep mabey you guys could help me a little perhaps youv had similar experiences with police.

The police asked me if I had ever been arrested and I said no then he said a do the crime do the time kinda a deal cause you will do the time.. or something like that iono wat exactly he meant by that mabey he was messing with my mind..

Why is this a question? Did you have drugs or paraphernalia on you or did you not?

You haven't told us what crime you think you might be charged with. As far as I know, it's not a crime to be in the company of someone who has committed the dastardly act of public urination.

Is there any rational basis for your worry or are you just one of those people who gets off on worrying?

Id rather not say wether I did or did not commit a crime.. But mainly my question is if in this public urination trial if evidence being brought up in the trial could be possible used to charge me with something. And if cops would open an investigation when they catch a 20 year old with 17 year appearing to them intoxicated.. Anyways perhaps no one here knows.. I know its highly unlikely but im just wondering mainly if they would bother to pursue this or if they have just shrugged it off.

I said it before, but I guess you need me to say it again. I can say, that as a criminal justice degree holder, that the odds of an investigation into you coming out of your friend's trial is so miniscule to not even be an issue. Believe it or not, cops everywhere have more important issues than "investigating a 2o yr old with a 17 year old appearing to be intoxicated" Relax.....you weren't charged with anything, and I can say with probably 99.99999 % accuracy that nothing more will ever come from this case. Damn, if I was this paranoid over every police contact I've had over the years, I'd have gray hair and a heart condition at age 29. You are home free......now forget about the whole thing

I can't remember when they brought out a Grand Jury to preside over a public peeing charge . Man, that would be a good use of taxpayers money now wouldn't it?

Isn't public urination just a municiple type of thing much like a speeding ticket? Is your firend actually thinking of fighting this charge?

Considering what you have insinuated you MIGHT have been charged with, wouldn't it be better to just pay the stupid ticket for peeing behind a tree than fighting this one in open court?
