Maybe I'm not making myself clear. I did not come here for a debate. I came here to ask for political information related to posting signs in my city and getting signatures for a referendum. I am not asking Bart to leave the entire forum. I am asking him to stop diverting the conversation of this one onto topics which the starter of the thread, me, isn't interested in. I don't care about his criticism, or his thoughts on college, or even his opinion regarding this topic anymore. He tried to tell me all the slogans are amature and that comparing weed to alcohol doesn't work despite the fact that one of those slogans was used professionally in the campaign to free Denver.

Only his first responce was even remotely on topic and was helpful. Everything else as far as I'm concerned is as useful as trolling. He did manage to get everyone else who posted in here to continune with his off-topic rantings and debate attempt.

I was hoping this would be a good forum to get information or discuss verious marijuana topics. But if the people on this one are more interested in arguing about off topic subjects than providing helpful on topic information then I'll just find another forum somewhere else.

And Bart immediately responded with a lengthy, well-informed post answering your questions.

What a loss that will be.

That is far more information than I needed to see... Not my mental picture of you at all.

i read a very informative and enlightening article the other day, at http://www.**********/en/drugs/legal..._use/aint.html

EDIT: apparently urls are censored. well the article is, "Ain't Nobody's Business: The Absurdity of Consensual Crimes in a Free Society".

(Adapted from the book "Ain't Nobody's Business If You Do," by Peter McWilliams.)

in a way the writer expresses, in detail, his opinions against consensual crimes, which just happen to include "drug" use. if you, as you say you are, are against the victim-less crimes in place, then the read is just for you.

and my personal response to bart on the whole running down the street naked rebuttal, is that there are victims involved, the witnesses. most people still live in the unfortunate aftermath of the evangelical movements of the 1800s, to the point where anything which may happen to be un-christian is not only offensive, but could induce heart attacks (or panic attacks for the court suit involved... different story in a way) in these weak-minded sheep. our christian heritage is the cause for many of these invasive laws of common morality.

but then again, morality is only judged within the eye of the beholder. but in this case it is the dude with the loose wallet stitching and legion of dim-witted constituents. i am convinced legalisation will take many years to fufill, and theres a good chance it never will. the market for prescription drugs is too hot, and introducing an exteremely popular substance such as marijuana could potentially ruin the sales of the current pain pills. this, in turn, leads to political corruption, as a percentage of the pill sales end up in the families of the people in power.

by the people, for the people... well politicians are people too, so i guess its for them.
