Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Does anyone know if there are negative consequences if one is found 'dirty' with marijuana on the first court-ordered drug screen? I guess I have another question as well: is there any kind of average time between conviction and when you must report to the drug screen? (it's not a probationary drug screen, it's a program included in the sentence, if that matters.) just curious, because there seems some reason to believe that they would expect you to be dirty when you start (especially for marijuana which can apparently stay in your system for weeks). I'm pretty sure I'll be clean, but I may be just at the line. well, thanks in advance!

To fail a drug test as you are starting a program is normal. if you fail they will ask you the last time you used and then they'll send it to the lab to test the leavels. most programs out paciant i'm assuming. they normaly use 5 or 10 panels so they can't test the leveals they just see if you've used. but about the court thing it all depends on how occupied the system is. it could take a week or months but if they ask you to pee in a cup then you have to do it that day or it is counted dirty. they consiquinces for a first time drug charge depends on the state you live in and the drug that you are cought with. bud is normaly a consiquince of probation some times bench but it could be formal and posably random UAS/drug tests. There could also be chances of out paciant rehab but thats not common for first offences
