Is it legal to have the sites that are in like norway or where ever they are to ship to the states( specifically nj), i have looked and i can't find anything so any info would be much appreciated

Why would it be illegal?

People buy art glass for display, or purchase pipes for smoking legal herbs or tobacco.

I believe it is illegal to have items that have been defined as "paraphernalia" shipped from overseas to the U.S. It doesn't matter that such designated items may be used for other purposes.
I don't know what the penalties would be. Perhaps only confiscation of the item in question?

Any controlled substance defined by U.S. federal law (including narcotics, hallucinogenic-drugs, amphetamines, barbitu-
rates, marijuana, hashish, steroids, or other dangerous drugs.)
Drug paraphernalia, including any equipment, product or material of any kind that is primarily intended or designed to be used in manufacturing, compounding, converting, concealing, producing, processing, preparing, injecting, ingesting,
inhaling or otherwise introducing into the human body a controlled substance, possession of which is unlawful under the controlled Substance Act. (This includes bongs, chillums, water pipes, scales, hash pipes, screens, roach clips,
or like items.)

True enough, but most websites also have a doisclaimer saying their materials are for "tobacco and legal herbal use only" thereby protecting themselves (and thie customers) from accusations of drug paraphenilia. For what its worth, i have ordered from many foreign companies without incident, as have many many members here and at the lounge. If anything were to happen, the shipment would simply be confiscatred and you'd recieve a letter from customs. No charges or anyhting of that nature would be filed in most cases.

Even if it is illegal, I don't see how you could get caught for it. It is a federal offense for anyone to open your mail.

LOL....ever hear of US Customs? They can inspect packages coming in from other countries. In fact, thats what they do....As in, thats their purpose, part of their job description!
