| When I read these posts, a couple of thoughts come to my mind. First, I often wonder how many people use religion as an excuse to smoke marijuana and truely not mean it. To me, this is disrespectful to the herb, and to the true religion that you may believe in. I don't put everybody into this category. Trying to persue a religion just to smoke marijuana, is also in my opinion wrong. However... Many people do use marijuana for legitimate religious purposes. They are not using their religious beliefs as an excuse, they are using marijuana because of their religious beliefs. I can't find fault in this. Now... I believe that if I were a person that had true feelings about marijuana being part of my religious beliefs; and if I can present my opinions and feelings intelligently and respectfully; the odds of my being convicted or even tried are remote. Cops don't usually want to mess with the religious folks. Religious Freedom does not exist in the U.S. Atleast I dont think so. On further reflection, I have never had anybody come to my door and tell me how to pray. I also have never had authorities at my house because I was smoking marijuana. Responsible smoking, responsible religion. Something in common there... Daniel

| BTW, there is a public precident that shows that the law is "tolerant" to religious practices. Some churches require alcoholic wine for communion. Though this is illegal for underage, the churches probably do not have a liquor license, etc; I have never heard of anybody raising a stink about it. Why? It's credible. Daniel |
