Hey, i'm a first time poster on these boards...

I live in canada (alberta) and I am planning on taking the bus across the country (ontario) in a month or so. My question is this: I hope to take along at least a 1/2 Oz with me on the bus trip, but i am slightly worried about security. Has anyone successfully transported mary jane on a long bus trip like this (It's the Greyhound) and what sorts of security procedures do they have in terms of checking carry on luggage?

If anyone with experience doing this would please respond, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.

I used to ride the greyhound almost weekend between Manitoba and Ontario. I never had a problem... but I never had more than carry-on luggage. There are no luggage searches as far as I know.

The most I've ever brought on the bus was a 1/4 ounce but... Just keep it in your carry-on luggage and you won't have a single problem as long as you don't cross the boarder into the USA.

Awesome, thank you. that helps a lot, OverDrive. Just as long as they don't check what's inside my carry on, I should be alright then, cause i have a foolproof way of hiding the smell.

what's your way? I reasontly figured out a great way fhiding a small amount but the smell is all around. i took the weed out after ten mins. last night, and it's still there

If you need a good way to transport weed, maybe even on planes, use this idea.

Vacume seal the bud, then wash the outside of it, and your hands. Then When it is still wet put deturgent on it, and vacume seal it again, and then wash it again. Then to finish it off wrap it in plastic wrap!

I remember someone suggesting this method, and i tried it our on spring break, when i succesfuly brought down a 1/8 ounce with me, through security. I just put it in my shoe, and prayed no dogs would come near me. But the trick is to keep washing it with soap and water, cause dogs can smell residu from your hand just touching the bag if you were in contact with pot.

On what was called an Ameripass. Flat rate of $409 (2 years ago) and I could go anywhere I wanted for the month.

The only times I was concerned was when I left Las Vegas there were Feds at the bus station looking for guns and drugs. They went on the bus and asked everybody if they could search their luggage. Some people had their luggage searched.

Personally, If I were to do the greyhound thing again, the weed would just stay on my body. Not just because I was worried about getting busted, but I would worry that somebody would rip me off. Quite a few "not so nice" people ride the bus.
