| This question is directed at Niteshift, but I would like input from whoever cares to answer. I've been thinking that the best place to keep a small amount of marijuana when driving is on your person. I've arrived at this conclusion based upon the fact that if you are pulled over, your car is subject to a search if the LEO chooses to search it based upon whatever reasonable cause he has. And to make sure the office is safe, he can frisk you for weapons. So if you get frisked, the little lump in your pocket cannot be a weapon, and without your permission or arrest, the LEO has no right to inspect it. So as long as you assert your rights against unreasonable searches and give the LEO no reason to arrest you, you should be ok. How's my logic and legal understanding? If possible, please base replies on Florida law. |
