| Recently i had someone who i've never seen before asked me if i had any herb at the corner gas station... since i didn't know the guy and he looked a little straight edge, i told him no. but he was persistent-- kept asking me.... bugging me about it... i ended up just leaving mid coversation. i don't want to introduce someone bad to my friends ya know? this guy seemed like an undercover because he was very persistent.. was cleanly shaven with a polo shirt...real straight looking. even tho he might have been a normal guy i'm glad i did what i did... just in case. my open question to all is.... how do you tell if someone is an undercover or not? sure common sense is the first thing... which is why i rejected that guy. this is the first time i've ever gotten that 'feeling' when talking to someone i didn't know... but aren't there certain rules that cops have to abide to that you can ask the person to break to prove they aren't cops? For example, all the 24 hour massage parlors are basically whorehouses... but they make you take off ALL your clothes before they do ANYTHING to you... that's cause cops are not allowed to remove all thier clothing while on duty.... Is there any technicality that would be applicable for knowing if a new person is a cop or not....like... for weed? Not getting nekid tho.... Is it ok to just ask the person "are you a cop"... as far as i know there is no law that says cops can't lie to you... so i imagine they will just say 'no' in a situation like that. In the movie "Blow" there was a line something like that, but the time setting of that scene was in the 70's.... Obviously the best thing is to only associate with close friends or grow your own-- but sometimes it isn't that easy. Is there any way to be 100% sure? ????? -ko |

| I would never get bud for a stranger. The best way of figuring out if someone is an undercover is by getting to know them a little. This is probably not the 'instant' solution you were looking for but it's a safe one.

| I've been wondering that myself. Like if you asked: "Are you in any way associated with law inforcement?" would they be allowed to answer no? I'd really like to know just so I know. I wouldn't do a favor like that for a stranger, but knowing would be an advantage.

| I had a situation where this guy was outside of a headshop waiting for me to come out. When I came out he asked me if I had anything "he could fill his new pipe with." Needless to say I was very skeptical. The guy was in his 40's with a knit shirt on. The shirt had a company logo and had a pocket where he had some pens. Clean cut, clean shaven, etc. He said he was from Luisiana and was new to town so he didn't know anywhere he could get anything. I made him give me everything in his pockets. I inspected everything. Checked his license plates to make sure they were from Luisiana. After that I was convinced, so I sold him an eighth of my stash for a reasonably inflated price. Everything ended up fine, but I will never do that again unless I am absolutely certain. |

| I have been approached by many narcs, although I can only assume they are ![]() One that comes to mind was when I was at the library with some people and outside a man about 30-35 approached me. He was clean shaven yet his clothes looked a little weird. He asked me 'if I had any nuge'. It took me a minute to understand that lame slang, and then he said he 'had smoked his last roach and needed some weed'. He is saying all of this in a normal tone of voice in front of people walking by, and used about 20 different terms for weed. My friend saw what was going on and started swearing at him (not calling him a narc) just to see how he would react. A normal person would swear back or get a little aggressive, this guy just kept his mouth shut and looked like he was trying to hide his anger ![]() |

| I'm pretty shocked that most of you equate being clean with being sober...hahahaha thats beautiful, imposing the ole "dirty rasta" stereotype on our community, please continue perpetuating these dangerous misconceptions...who knows, maybe it'll help legalization become an even more inprobable dream! ![]() | |

| umm isnt the whole point of being undercover to hide the fact that their cops??? im not too clear about the laws of entrapment, but if you can figure them out you should be able to ask a few questions and suss the person out a bit better. i only sell to my friends, that way i can reimburse myself a little bit and give my pals great deals no risk involved at all.i wouldnt ever sell or buy off someone that i just met on the street, ESPECIALLY outside a headshop those things are cop bait |
