I was in North Carolina for the weekend and was caught with an open bottle of alchohal, pipe, and less than an once of weed. From the Norml site, I understand that "< 0.5 oz.: 0 - 30 days, suspended sentence possible" and "Paraphernalia possession or sale: 1 - 120 days." This is my first offense of any kind, and I am from florida. How will these charges compound? Should i get a lawyer? I need some ideas/input/wisdom here, please. Will i be let go on probation, since i am an out of towner? Guy who needs help.
