hey everyone,

i consume marijuana on a regular basis. I usually smoke in my own room or house and sometimes outside in a park located close to my house. I have never been approached by cops or detained. Anyways, yesterday me and my friends decided to smoke some chronic in the park. Now where i live in montreal, there is community patrol cops which no one is afraid of and then there are the real 5-0. Me and my friends sparked a spliff and a female community patrol cop approached us. She most probably had cause to ask us as she could smell the weed in the air and the 3 spliffs we had passing around and the bag in my hand. She demanded the bag and i gave it to her not neeeding any more complications and instead i just pocketed the joints. She said it doesn't matter and she is just taking it for the sake of other people in the park. She told us to leave or shed call the "real" cops. So anyways we left and we went down an alleyway and continued smoking after she stopped following us. Suddenly, at the bottom of the alley a community patrol car drove up and stopped. Out came officer hardass who stopped us and demanded our names and phone numbers and if we had any criminal records. He confiscated the marijuana and gave us a lesson on why "dope" is for "dopes". Okay, so apart from the cop being a ******, what should have happened? Can i press charges against this ****er for stopping me after i was let free by the female cop? Are there any rights I possess in such a problem where i could ****ing charge this poor ass cop and take all his money and leave him ****ing starving? We didn't get a ticket or anything, he just took down our names. I'm not scared hes gonna do anything, Im just ****ing outraged at the way they treated us. Please, any1 who lives in Canada and is familiar with marijuana laws please help me.

Christ all mighty... You got stopped not once, but twice and all your worried about is getting revenge on him? Dude consider your self LUCKY, worst case scenario he could have takin you and your friends to the police station, sited you for the marijuana and the praphanelia, then you would have to show up in court. In court you would most likely lose your license and be put on some sort of probation, where they give you random drug tests. I would not only be extremely happy about how they reacted, but I would go light up a joint in celebration. What happend to you is nothing, save your revenge for when it is really needed, like when your actually legally violated. You could go ahead and try what you want, but I can guerantee it wont work, if anything it would point the spotlight on you again, leave it alone, be happy.

dude that was dumb giving that fake police officer your weed like that. and it was even dumber giving the other guy your names. if they arent the real cops you dont even have to their dumb asses. they have as much authority as a securtity guard or somthing. that is all they can do is observe and report. what you should have done when the lady came up to you is just put your stuff in your pockets and go to your house which you said wasnt that far away. just dont let her see where you live and get their before that cops and your set. i would never ever give my bud to anyone but the real cops. why didn't you give fake names to the other rent-a-cop? he can't do jack.

I agree with Turtle. The situation could have been far worse than a heated enguagement with a police officer. You should have gone back to the house to smoke the rest of the joints to begin with.

Even though he was a punk, he let you off the hook. And you are wanting to get revenge when that was the outcome? Are you crazy? So what are they supposed to do, haul in every tom, robert and harry who they catch smoking pot because if they let them go they may get sued? Preemtive strike mentality?

You don't have to like the cop, but you have to respect and be thankful for what he did, reguardless for his reasons for doing it. Learn your lesson, smoke responsibly, and leave the revenge and lawsuits to when you are really violated by something.

how can everyone be saying he got off lucky? they weren't even real cops. its like smoking in the parking lot at the mall and a mall security guard comes up to you and says something about it. you dont even have to acknowledge him or talk to him since he has no real authority. sure he can call the cops, but by that time, you'd be long gone and on your way home. spliff, next time a community patrol officer tries **** with you just tell them to **** off (in a polite way), then get the hell out of there b4 the real cops come.

Never the less, it could have been worse, and he could make it worse. Those "rent-a-cops" have some sort of authority, they carry guns, ammo, tasers, and batons and if it came down to it they could detain you until the real authorities arrived. And if they had no authority what so ever, what the hel| do you think they are for? They dont give these guys cars, uniforms, badges, and weapons just to go give lectures on marijuana. Whenever you get off with a warning and your bud confiscated, just leave it at that, if you go complain and it actually did end up in court, cangratulations, but you just made a mountain out of a mole hill. Now imagine that word of this got out and everyone that got off with a warning went, complained, got some money, and watched that officor's career go down in flames. Now all of the new officors know of this and will now not issue warnnings because they could possibly lose their job, rather they haul in someone over a little roach. Think about it, if we all handle the marijuana laws accordingly and not complain when we get a swift kick in the as$, the chances of it finally becoming legal are much greater. Not to mention the the number of people that would only deserve a warnning but got the full treatment due to somebody who just wanted to get back at the law for something as little as this.

Thanks guys. After contemplating the events I realized it was all stupid. Thing is I'm 16 and **** like this has never happened to me cuz cops in montreal dont give a **** about chron. I've smoked chronic in front of real police and all they said was to put it out. I guess i was just shocked at the fact of the guy like halting his car 2 inches from my body and then telling us not to move. If i knew that the cop car was gonna come after the law ***** told us to leave, I would have jetted and smoked the rest of my weed. Whatever. Nothing is going to happen as these guys have 0 authority and cant do ****. Good thing we only had like 5 gs, if i had my usual o bag i would have ****ing broken the cops face in and jetted. YEEEEEEEAH ! hhahahaha. then id get in more **** but itd be funner ****ing busting that fag's face in. Anyways, thanks to everyone. i just got overwhelmed by everything and ill be back at the park smokin tonite! YEEEEEEAHHH! by the way, the fact that they took down our names and ****, does that go on any sort of record? I think its just like a warning and next time they book me or some ****..... peace

Remember my previous post about the rent-a-cop confiscating my weed. Well he asked for i.d. and we all claimed we had none. He asked our names and we gave them to him. Although the cop could most probably recognize me, could I say that he has no proof that it was me and that it was someone else claiming to be me? After all, he had no i.d. and thus no proof of my true identity. Any comments are good..... thanks
