Did I say too much?

This doesn't have much of anything to do with protecting anyone's rights, but this forum seemed most likely to get me a reply which would help in this situation. I got busted at a friend's party last Friday (I've yet to post about this like I intended to do). During the course of my booking, the officer asked me to tell him "just between you and me" who I get my pot from. I told him I get it from "different people". He replied "Come on, you live on the south end, you hang out with all those skater kids." (which I do) I told him "Sometimes I get it from the south end."

Is it possible/likely that by my saying "sometimes I get it from the south end," I might have inadvertently incriminated my group of southender friends, or put them in a situation where the cops will be watching them? I haven't had a chance to tell them about this yet, but if what I said was too much, I want to be able to warn them before they have to wear the connecting bracelets.

Dude don't worry about it.. If the party got busted, i'm sure there were others who got caught too and probably said more than you did.

Even if they didn't, people are always getting busted-- and a lot of the time they say a lot more than you did.

telling the cop that you 'sometimes' get it from a certain side of town isnt saying much of anything....

Everytime ive had a cop ask me where i got my weed i have always said, no matter how much, that i found it in an alley. Said i was just strolling along and saw a bag so i picked it up. Now of course they never believe you but what are they really going to do about it?
Getting busted sucks bad enough, but ratting out your dealer is a whole differnt story.....one that rarely (if ever) has a happy ending

My favorite is 'I found it at [insert name of city park known for drug dealing]'. There is nearly always [in larger cities] a park or too commonly known for drug dealing. Very anonymous.
