|  If I go to a foreign country and receive a prescription for marijuana,is it legal to bring my prescription home along with a quantity of the herb with me?I have heard that this is true because of a treaty that we signed with all nations to respect each others medical rights even though we might not agree with the use of that drug because of our culture. If it is true,does anyone want to pay for the plane tickets?

|  The short answer is no. You're allowed to bring a "personal use" amount of prescription drugs into the US, even if it's not something approved for use here. However, mj is currently a schedule 1 drug and those don't count since, as part of being schedule 1, the criteria is no accepted medical use. Also, drugs that are commonly abused, like steroids, "roofies" etc. are exempt from this "personal use" exception". |

| I must agree with Niteshift. A prescription from another country will allow you to transport the medication to the U.S. only if the substance is not completely illegal here. Any exceptions that Niteshift mentioned are out of my area of knowledge. |
