| I realize that you are new around these parts and are also suffering from stress over the ordeal of your arrest but I am afraid that I am going to have to ask you to take it back a notch or two. While your personal experiences are shocking I have to say that at no point have I seen Niteshift call your story into question. His only words have been against the stereotyping of LEO that you have done in your posts. If you could stick to the facts of your case and perhaps just leave the insults out of it, it might be easier for you to express your points without having people feel the need to jump in to correct or defend anything. Peace ~GG

| Goodgirl, niteshift, and any one else I offended. Sorry! My original post concerning informant practices were not based on my paticular case. I have lived and traveled extensively throughout the U.S. My father is an attorney and I have a relative that is a L.E.O. The reason I got alittle heated, (besides being called childish and guilty of speading unsubstantiated BS),was because I felt that people should know the worst case senario. From my observations, niteshift's comments were idealistic, not the norm. All i'm saying is the war on drugs is not a level playing field. On either side. I don't know if police agencies share their policies on informants with the general public? It would be interesting to find out. Once again, I am new here (but i've around the block a few times), so please accept my apology!!!!! |

| "From my observations, niteshift's comments were idealistic, not the norm." From my observations, they are the norm. I'll give you a bit of my background. I have worked on the local (in 2 states) and Federal levels (in numerous states and countries), have extensive LE training, instruct in many LE topics including drug interdiction. I head a drug interdiction unit and know literally hundreds of cops. Further, I am the director of a national LE organization and an administrator on the biggest LE site on the internet. " On either side. I don't know if police agencies share their policies on informants with the general public?" In my state, those policies would be considered public record and you could get copies. so please accept my apology!!!!! No harm done.

| The fact of this matter is that police can write, say, and DO whatever they want. The law does not really effect them in the same way it would effect a citizen. NiteShaft won't admit it - he's one of them! |

| Cops aren't exactly the people that one wants to see around when you're doing something that they have a duty to stop, but, think about it a little. The guy takes time to answer everyone's hypothetical, what-if, or downright angry questions without getting all judgemental...I've encountered some really bad cops, and some really good cops, but regardless, wouldn't it be just as easy for leos to simply not post here, as opposed to offering what they know, I'd appreciate it, everyone, this really is a rather unusual circumstance, good luck getting someone who knows the answers to some of these questions. People like Niteshift are, in reality, doing us, as a community a service which we should be grateful for.
