| On oct.5th my friends and i were coming home from dinner.there were 4 of us in my friends car.on that night we smoked a couple joints and decided just to go home. as we were going home we got pulled over by a trooper,he said he could smell the weed and said everything would go smoothlly if we gave it up.he took my friend that was driving out of the car and started to give him some stupid tests and then said he was unable to operate his car.he then gave him a DWAI. after that i was taken out of the car and searched and was completelly clean.i never said i smoked or anything and didn't think my friend had weed on him still.with my two other friends in the back seat, the cop went up to them and my friend took a little sack (prolly like a gram) outa his pocket and gave it to the cop.they ended up getting out of the car and searched them too.my friend that was driving was taken to the station and had his car towed away. with just my other two friends and i sitting in the cop car , he proceeded to write us a ticket. Why would i get a ticket if i didn't have anything ? My friend gave it to the cop and it was in his possesion...only he should have gotten a ticket right?. anyway i have to go to court and i have a lawyer.if i had nugget and got caught then i would take the ticket and agree with it....but i didn't have anything and i think it is unfair how i have this dumb ass ticket.i live in upstate New york. i would appreciate it if someone could give me some advice on this.thank you Matt F. | |

| The cops did everything by the book, the dumb ones were driving around stoned. In a close invironment like a car if one person is in possession of contraband then it's presumed that everyone is, guilt by association if you will.
