i live in washinon state, It says i have committed the following offenses,

VUCSA/MJ POSS LT 40G

Can a leo please explain what i am getting charged for. I think it is possesion and paraphenalia but i have no clue what the above means. Any help would be greatly apreciated. Also as far as a first time offense diversion agreement, does anyone know how long this diversion agreement will last.

Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act/Marijuana possession of less than 40 grams.

It is a Misdemeanor with the following (first time offense) punishments:

Mandatory: Imprisonment of no less than 24 hrs AND fine of no less than $250.
Other: Imprisonment of up to 90 days and/or fine of up to $1000

actually i am still a minor for about a month, so its going through a diversion agreement, i just have to pay a fine and go get"assesed" and thats it. I havent smoke for about a week though just because i'm rattled.
thanks fuzz, i was busted with parapehanlia and like .3 grams, but it looks like i was just cited for weed.

I'm in a similar situation here. I also live in WA.

I got caught in almost the exact same situation as you, except I was inside my car, driving after 1:00 AM with an Intermediate license (apparently this is a major no-no) and I assume that they are throwing possession and paraphernalia charges at me, also a first offense for me. But the thing they wrote me up on the yellow slip was for being on the road after 1:00 AM with an Intermediate license. I turn 18 in about 7 months, and I'd like to keep my license.

A couple of questions: First, if they suspend my license for 3 months, can that be delayed or reduced in any way?

Second, let's say they try to charge me with DUI (They never did a field sobriety test, but the cop sorta threatened to nail me for that as well although they have NO proof) and let's say worst case scenario, my license is suspended for 1 year. Since I'm 17 years and 5 months old, will it really be suspended for 1 year, or just until the day I turn 18?
