Maybe you should take this post to the www.ParentsAgainstFun.com forums, much more suited there. Weren't u ever in highschool? What else is there to do besides smoke dope? Although most of the time I do go back to class.

What you fellow stoners need to learn is that your dean wouldn't have said that if there wasn't a cop, I smell like dope everyday in school but no teacher has the guts to say it - all you have to do is deny it - and they can get in trouble. i got my gym teacher in so much **** for saying "i know what u were doing at lunch, getting blitzed." i started yelling at her about how i have a clean life and its my guess she almost got fired seeing as how the principle had a chat with her. she never bugged me again. dumb ***** :-P Aiite peace, got some hash to knife up in here.

Perhaps its not there because someone wanting to further the marijuana movement and show some actual PROGRESS, instead of having these kids being poster children for prohibition, is NOT a parent against fun. They are thinking of the greater fun that can be had by all that comes from legalization.

I'm not saying everyone who doesn't smoke dope is a borring parent, im just saying that his comment made me laugh and the first thing that came to mind was "I need to blaze asap"... and then "wow why did he post that here."

I'm sure as hell not a parent, I'm only 21, and I still think people who brag of smoking dope at school are only hurting the cause.

Where do you really expect to be, not in a few years, but in 20 years? Do you really think that skipping class because, "school sucks", is going to benefit you in the future? Are you planning on becoming a productive member of society, perhaps helping out with legaliaztion?

It's a real world out there, I'm noticing this more each day, and I'm still naive. If you don't even have a highschool diploma, you are nothing these days, an insignificant speck in the grand scheme of things. Who is going to take you seriously; "legalize marijuana" you say, as you're sitting there either on some form of social assistance or in a minimum wage job. You won't be able to change things, not without influence.

I'm working my ass off every day, paying for my own education because I'm middle class, too "rich" for OSAP, too "poor" to easily afford tuition. Hopefully, after another year or two, I'll do well on my LSATs and then, finally then, I'll be able to do something. I don't smoke dope during the day, I smoke at night or on the weekends, when my studying is done. I smoke in the privacy of my own home, so that I don't put pot in a bad light.

And what am I doing this for? So stupid kids all over the continent can invalidate everything, substantiating the claims that pot is linked with all illegal activity? There definitely should be a legal age, at least until people realize the realities out there.

Laugh at me now, laugh at all of us, or claim that we're just too old and are invading on your life. There's that old saying, "do as I say, not as I did", but the hell with that, do as I did, I'm actually doing what I suggest.

It's a harsh world out there, really ****ing harsh, and it won't stop for a second when you screw up.

PS, Greenman, not too sure I agree with you on the 21 years of age concept. At least not here, where the drinking age is 19. By the time you're 19, you're out of school, and it's your responsibility whether you screw up, not your parent's or the school boards.

Whoa... I think you hit one o' Greenman's nerves.

I mean, I don't have sympathy for you, but I take most things with a grain of salt. If it makes you feel any better, around here in Illinois, the first time you are arressted for truancy, you get a warning, the second time its a 25 dollar ticket. I think getting suspended for cutting class would be rather..severe? That..and the school has no authority to punish you for smoking up off of school grounds.

Granted, you did confess, you're young, immature, inexperienced, and were easily intimidated in the heat of the moment, I wouldn't really call that a mistake on your part.

So the way I see it, the school can give you a suspension, tops, for cutting class. And the federales can give you some minor ticket for smoking, possibly, but you had nothing in your possession so. Even if you confess.. you're not really... screwed..as it were.

... I mean... BAD BAD.. what were you thinkin' ?



Learn to take live with a grain of salt, stuff always seems a lot more serious than it is in retrospect.

I dunno, maybe I'm just still extremely naive in my youth.. maybe I haven't actually seen the **** life can dish out because I'm rather well off.. I can screw up.. but there will always be people there who will scold me and than help me back up. Probably just me, I mean..I live in a high class town and goto a college prep school, I suppose people expect something of me so they give me a lot more leniancy.. that doesn't mean that I haven't become a jaded cynic.

It's just that ..from my experience, and like I said, this is likely naivette, but I'm too arrogant to fully acknoledge it to myself, life is full of second chances, and third chances, and forth chances, and so forth. You can screw up all you like, and if you have the motivation, you're never really down.

Opteek, glad you have that luxury, most people do not.

What I want everyone to understand is that there is a war going on between the government and marijuana advocates. A war in which people are being killed, by the cartels, the government, and the systems prohibition has put in place. It has been going on for so long now, that we can all forget about the blitzkrieg run to washington and Legalization. Rather, its about image, facts, and moving the ball forward one yard at a time. And there is a LOT riding on the movement. Its been a game of one step forward, three steps back for decades now.

We have just suffered a stinging round of defeats in the polls. And for several weeks, were running around the boards trying to keep morale up. There was a thread in particular about cutting off all the flotsom people from the fruits of our labor. All the free-loaders and moochs that ride on the backs of everyone in the trenchs. People more fed up that I am with the immature kids screwing the whole thing up for the rest of us. That is not the answer, but I can understand the frustration.

If you guys want to smoke pot, there is nothing that I can do to stop you. Not even sure if I want to stop you. But use your heads. I want you to realize every time you screw up, it makes everyone elses lives more difficult to get the plant legalized. You are walking right into the hands of the prohibitionist giving them all the ammo. So much of the war is already based on "Were doing it for our kids, Pot smoking is an epidemic in our nations schools." Where do you think they get that from. Because they keep busting kids at school with pot.

Realize that reguardless if you want to be involved in the movement and the war, you are simply by merit that you smoke. Choosing to remain oblivious or ambivilant to this does not remove you, it just makes you an easy mark. There are millions of lives that are usurped or destroyed every year over marijuana. You continuing to be stupid and apathetic only allows that damage to continue and spread. All I am asking is don't smoke pot at school. Don't bring pot to school. If you want to go to school fried that is one thing. But to actually have weed there in school is just begging to get caught, and set everyone back in the movement to get it legalized. Be responsible. Be smart. You want to smoke pot, then you have to be mature about it.

Man, what is this crap? Yes, I WAS once in highschool. However, I only got high maybe 5 - 6 times spread out over 4 years before i graduated. I didn't smoke daily until after.

I'm not going to say anything else cuz Larmer basicaly said what i'd say.
