Man charged for marijuana deposit at bank
Police arrested a Pizza Pit employee after he allegedly deposited some marijuana at the bank last month.

Adrian Michael Hilton, 25, of Coralville, is charged with possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor punishable by no more than six months in prison and a $1,000 fine.

According to a criminal complaint filed by the Coralville Police department:

Employees at American Bank and Trust told police they found a bag of marijuana in the Pizza Pit deposit bag dropped off in the night deposit box Sept. 17. Pizza Pit employees identified Hilton as having made the deposit and placing the marijuana in the bag while at work.

Coralville Police Lt. Shane Kron said bank workers found a sandwich bag less than half full of marijuana in the Pizza Pit deposit bag. Kron said the case is unusual.

"That's a first for me," he said.

Hilton completed a written statement for Pizza Pit, admitting the marijuana was his and inadvertently depositing it at the bank, the complaint states. When contacted by police, Hilton refused to answer questions without an attorney, reports show.

Hilton was released from custody on his own recognizance following an appearance Tuesday in Johnson County District Court. His home phone number is unlisted and he could not be reached for comment.

Then again, How many of us have been ..say in a car rolling or packing, and after smoking you got out of the car and your sack falls on the ground

My friend did that with his bowl (hopped out of the front seat of one of those big conversion vans with it on his lap), when he went to run in the gas station and buy cigarettes. Luckily it was such a thick blown bowl that it just bounced a few feet in the air and skidded across the parking lot

How about when your in a checkout lane at the store or gas station. Get to the front of the line, reach in to pull out your money to pay with and look down to see a small sack of weed you had slipped in your pocket and didn't think twice about. Then the next 3 seconds go something like this. You look at it, look up at the cashier who's of course looking right at it. You look back down at the weed again, then back up at the cashier who is now looking at you eye to eye, and there you stand with a big cheezy grin on your face
