I would just behave (you say you already are, but that is debateable) and pay attention in class. Disregard her, and avoid her. If she talks to you just nod your head, throw her shit over your shoulder and leave it be.

As Spliffman said, you kind of have to take in the fact that life isn't fair and previous choices/mistakes you made put you where you are.

Well, here's my flavor for you.

I say you go to someone in the school administration that DOESN'T KNOW YOU.

It seems that although you are a good person your reputation precedes you. If I were you I would try to seek out someone who is not involved with your school at all but is still a school administrator. They would probably be able to give you some unbiased advice and best of all, could not punish you.

I'm 21. When I was in high school I used to smoke weed and cigs and I used to cut-up a little bit, but the point is I never used to have any grudges with any faculty because I was a good little boy and while I was at school I FOLLOWED THE RULES. It's that easy. When I smoked cigs and pot and got really rowdy I was at home or just NOT AT SCHOOL.


and dude, she might just push you like that because maybe she sees that you have potential, and maybe you remind her of her at your age and she doesn't want to see you grow up, graduate and then get a job back at the high school you couldn't wait to leave... as a security guard.

and remember mods...ass means donkey.and remember Da Sauce..."infraction" means infraction...which also means you're going on vacation.

I agree that you shouldn't have to deal with being harrassed, but when you go to someones house you gotta follow their rules, same thing for school, its the county's rules (the cigarette smoking)

Lawyer= sure way to waste your money for a case like this

filing a police report will do nothing..if you really want to do something write a letter(s) to the school board, or visit the board

and lastly i agree with a few others, start carrying around a small recorder so whenever u cross paths, that way you have some leverage with the principal

If she really wanted to get you expelled bro, she's the SECURITY GUARD. All she has to do is plant some pot in/on/near your car, or frame you in some other completely easy way. The faculty wil believe her because you sound like a troubled kid to them. And I really don't wanna piss you off but man, to me...

you sound like a loser.(mod note--and thats a flame. Infraction given If you can't just make yourself behave so you can graduate and GTFO of the school then that makes you a loser.

The the OP, while Da Sauce could have phrased his responses a bit more gently, he has a point. Most of the kids who get the "troublemaker" label in school have earned it. No one is forcing you to break the rules, yet you seem to feel victimzed by the repuatation you've earned for smoking on campus and leaving campus. You admit to doing these things, so it seems that the reputation you have HAs been earned. You want people to leave you alone and quit picking on you? Follow the rules. While the security guard may not be your best friend, you don't have much of a case for harassment, as any lawyer will tell you. I can see pursuing this matter backfiring on you. Until you have ROCK SOLID evidence that you are being singled out and purposely harassed more than any other student who behaves in a manner similiar to yours, I wouldn't pursue any type of legal recourse here.

Well, thanks for all the advice. (especially you, DaSauce :rollseyes: )

I do realise that my reputation gets in the way of things, and I do realise that breaking the rules does put me in an akward situation. I told the administraion myself that she can go ahead and catch me and report me for doing whatever i do--thats her job. The only thing i had a problem with is her constant harassment, that is not her job, its singling out a student that you don't like (my sister went to the same school and got in arguments with the same security guard, and when i started going to this school she automatically singled me out for it, i never got a chance.) I doubt i will end up filling a report because of lack of proof. Really, i cannot put into words what she does without making myself sound like a psychopath. I told the asst. principal to just tell the security guard that if she doesnt leave me alone, it will eventually result in involving my lawyer, ect.

By the way, just to clarify things a little, I do get into trouble, and everyone knows it, but I get into trouble for petty things that even the administration agrees are pointless rules. My teachers know me for being intellegent, well mannered (for the most part), strong willed, and i was even told the other day that my teacher felt blessed to have me in his classroom because i was willing to share the "great mind i have". I enjoy school, and stay out of conflict. I'm not trying to boast, just trying to explain that I have a close relationship with alot of teachers and employees in the school, and that everyone agrees i'm singled out by security guards.

Oh, and I have like 90% of the smokers in the school that say themselves she never picks on them, and tells them not to hang out with me because she'll only bust them if theyre with me. The other security guards themselves have told me that she's got issues with me (im cool with all the other guards, its just her that bothers me)
