| Hi, I am 17 and live in WI. I was caught with 3 grams of weed, a scale, and another schedule 2 drug. I just got booked and released, my court date is in 5 days. oh yea, the schedule 2 is a felony. What does everyone think will happen to me? Is there a way out of this? |

| Hi Tony, And welcome to Cheaptalk. One of the rules that we have here is that we keep these discussions on topic of marijuana and we don't discuss problems that other substances cause. You have been charged with a felony. You should get a good lawyer and hope you haven't screwed your life up. Feel lucky that you are 17, you may just get off easy. I am closing this thread, as we cannot answer your question without discussing the other charge. Sorry for the close on your first thread. Please know that you are welcome here!!! Daniel |

| I dunno man, most of the time when a cop doesn't read the miranda rights to the arrested person, that person wins the case. I say go for it, if there was a witness that can say that you weren't read your rights then you pretty much won your case.

| Why doesn't anyone bother to read previous threads before posting the exact same questions? We've addressed the miranda issue about a million times already. Anyway, you only need to be read your rights if:1) you are under arrest and not free to leave 2) you are being interrogated in regards to the alleged crime So, you can be arrested but not interrogated, and you can also be interrogated but not arrested, and they do not need to read you your rights. Also, the questioning has to actually pertain to the crime, so asking for identification does not count. Alex |
