This summer my wife and I will be traveling from the US to Vancouver to pick up a Cruise to several Alaskan ports. We would like to take some weed with us but are concerned about Customs (both US and Canadian)..We only want to take a couple joints with us. Any suggestions? and waht is the penalty for getting caught with a couple j's?? Thanks

If you are caught by US Customs, bringing it across the border, you may have some serious problems.

just buy it when you get to alaska i have some friends that used to live there and they said that weed is suprisingly accepted in alaska and that almost everyone smokes so it shouldnt be hard to find

I'm from Alaska, the weed is great up here but yes, it is very very expensive...you get what you pay for though. Whenever we travel to the lower 48 we vacuum seal the joints or buds whatever your bringing, usually vaccum seal it twice and then shove it down your pants or in your bra..hehe depending upon who is gonna carry it. Havn't had any problems thus far

oh yeah and as far as what they can do legally in Ak....not much, they'd probably just confinscate it. They are more interested in people with a few lbs than a couple joints.

I'd buy some weed in Vancouver where it's widely available, of very high quality, and relatively inexpensive. If you don't take it off the ship you'll never have to take it through customs.
