| I heard that all undercover cops cars license plates start with the letters GM. I didn't really think it was true when I heard it but then again i thought about it and i've seen local undercover cops in different cars all the time. Im not sure if this is just in my area or what. But where do they get these cars lol ?! I realized I have never looked at the license plates but usually they have presidential tint and depending on the area they are in you cannot tell at all. One day on this road I saw a green minivan pull someone over. Lights where on the inside of the car you would never be able to tell. Also one night my friend came to pick me up and I guess the officer thought that I wwas someone else and he pulled off on the side of the road followed us and then pulled us over in my friends driveway. THE CAR had a presidential tint and huge ass rims. We got off though we weren't doing anything wrong. I did have a little pot on me but he never searched me. Then like two days ago. I was driving home and I saw a Ford SUV pull off in front of me. It was like a light brownish red color and it slowly followed me then it slowed down enough so I could see him but I still knew he was there. He didn't follow me into my development but went in another way and then I saw him again in my development. He had passed then he turned around and then got a real good look at me. He was either someone stalking me or a really really bad undercover cop. I am a little worried about being followed though. Im 90 percent sure that the other day that SUV following me was an undercover cop. He did the same thing as the one who pulled me over before...he would be in front of me then pull over and follow me after I passed. Does anyone know if this a technique they use.? I thought about it and since I didn't get pulled over maybe he just wanted to run my tags, I do roll through stop signs and im pretty sure that they do these kinds of things when you roll through stop signs. So idk why these officers are following me. my grandmother works for the police station and after my only arrest back in April, she said they put my name on a list of people they are watching out for. Would this be reason enough for an undercover cop to follow me home from school. idk if she was lying but I bought beer with a fake i.d. and I don't know if thats enough to get on such a list if it even exists or how long i would be on this list. Any insight would be great. Like I said I am a little worried because I don't want to get arrested. That would ruin my life. I am a good kid. Im 20 I go to school I smoke pot. I get good grades. I do my homework. I vote.

| First off....NO, not all undercover cars have license plates that start with any certain letter combo. That would defeat the entire purpose of being "undercover". An undercover car is usually indistinguishable from any other car on the roads. Itsd true you can sometimes spot FBI vehicles from their plates (US govt, extra antannas, tint, etc....However, these are simply "unmarked" vehicles, and not necessarily "undercover". AS for the "list" you refer to.....While I can't speak with 100% accuracy, I can say its pretty damn likely no such list exisats. Do you REALLY think they have time to compile a list and keep track of everyone who has been busted for a minor crime? Do you have any idea how many people are arrested every day, even in smaller communities? Its just not feasible. A more likely scenario would be a cop paying more attention to you after running your tags and finding out you have been in trouble before, or the officers involved with your case simply recognizing you. I've noticesd since my possession arrest back about 5 years ago that I'm definitely under more scrutiny when dealing with LEO's than I was previously. I can only assume this is because of my previous history, as I am nothing but polite and cooperative when dealing with cops, as a rule. Theres no way you made any sort of "list" just for buying beer with a fake. You are being paranoid. If the vehicle WAS an undercover cop, he'd simply pull you over, as rolling thru stop signs ius a traffic violation, and the stop would have been justified....the behavior (passing you, pulling over, following you) doesn't sound like typical cop behavior in any way. Why do you think "they do these kinds of things when you roll thru stop signs?" that makes no sense. if they wanted to pull you over, they'd do it.....they don't play cat and mouse games just to scare you.

Since you are paranoid a bit beyond reason - what with the whole undercover cops obsession and your grandma thing (that is way out in left field). I want to offer some advice, even though you asked for an LEO's to help. Grandma might be an employee. like a dispatcher, and ask a couple of her friends to keep an eye out for you, but she got your goat with the "bol" list. Let me make clear that you never realize how small the world is until you get older an run into such situations - we call it low people in high places. Learn this: Here is the teenage trifecta - do not combine the following three things; young males, a vehicle and weed. Any two and you average a little risk, but put all three together and it is like fish in a barrel for a cop to catch you (with or without "GM" on their license plate). You will get busted, period. Also: Basic MJ hygiene is to never carry more weed than you can eat in an instant and never carry the paraphernalia that so many kids love to have with them in plain view of the LEO - leave that bong, pipe and big bag at home and learn to roll a joint. You could just leave the whole thing at home, too, but at least NEVER bring it to school (zero-tolerance). And here's a tip from someone who knows - undercover cops are really hard to detect. Imagine if they use out-of-state plates, pull you over in an instant and have the jump on you before you even figure out what is going on. But they are not after you, the average teenage kid who smokes a little weed - there are much bigger fish to fry. If you get caught it is your own fault because you ignored basic MJ hygiene and the Teenage Trifecta, and Grandma's list is the least of your worries.

| It definitly isn't paranoia. Like I said i have been pulled over by undercover officers before. In fact the time I was pulled over by an undercover cop he did the same thing he was in front of me pulled off to the side and then followed me after I passed him. Trust me im not being paranoid. I'll admit that I didn't believe my grandmother when she told me about that list...I was just wondering if anyone ever heard of anything like that before. And for the record I never carry weed on me. So even if the cop pulled me over I would be fine. I just don't like the idea of being followed. I know it was a cop and I know he was following me but I dont know why. What TV Show did you play a cop? |

I usually have a bit part in the opening sequence writing on a chalkboard; and "I am not paranoid" is a good topic for today's show. For me it is just a joke. But I am a cartoon figure that smokes pot. For you it is a movement. For you it is reality; you're paranoid. Really paranoid. TRUST ME, you are being paranoid; if the Cop cared a rat's ass about you, you would be in jail. Before you read this post. | |

| When figuring out if someone a car is undercover, the first thing to look for is obvious police signs. Those mirror things that go through the window, extra antenna. But you're really going to have to go by intuition. Undercovers, and police in general, will follow people just to get a better look. Something didn't rub them right. If they didn't pull you over, it's probably because they either think they have no evidence, or if their suspicions have been negated.

| I really doubt the police are taking their valuable time to follow around a 20 year old pot smoker. Unless you live in a really small town where Grams has enough pull to have them keep tabs on you.

| Some of our unmarked cruisers have government plates, some of them have regular passenger plates. Some of them are typical police vehicles (Fords, Chevys), others are not typical police vehicles (minivans, pickup trucks, etc.). Our undercover guys frequently drive junkboxes with out of state plates and no markings, lights or antennas. |
