I am seeking some serious advice. I recently was convincted for my 2nd owil (1st one 9 years ago). I was the occasional smoker..certain holidays and vacations. I was charged for possession...less than 2gr. which was placed under the 7411 law since I've never been in any other kind of trouble. I spent 21 months...daily....then weekly...drug and alcohol testings until I finally plead guilty. I recently had my 1st probation "drop" which came up dirty (14ng). My probation officer reported me to the judge... now I have to show cause as to why my probation shouldn't be revoked. I am scared to death! My probation officer reported me as being in violation of my probation. If I go to this hearing...in front of one of the toughest judges in my state....I'm sure she will throw me in jail for up to 90 days. Hense, the only few good things I have going for me I WILL LOSE!!! Can ANYONE give me some advice??!?!?!

I moved one of your posts to the Legal Issues forum and made it a thread. Are you asking about passing a drug test or looking for legal advise?

It seems like she already had the drug tests so she's probably looking for legal advise or any other advise that would help.

I dropped my first time was dirty (14ng) which is apparently an extremely low dose. I have dropped 3 times since then (including today) and they have all been negative. I'm scared that if my probation is revoked,my 7411 status pulled and I go to jail..it will ruin the only good things left in my life...first and foremost I will lose my son, my job, and I will not only screw up the rest of fall semester, but winter semester and I can kiss getting into the master's program that I'm busting my butt for now.

Alright, got everything nice and tidy and in the right location. Feels better doesn't it. ![]() My advice... when you go to court go as well dressed as possible. Explain to the judge that you've seen the error of your ways and you now realize you weren't benefiting yourself or your family by smoking. You're sorry.. you will do whatever it takes to bring about a change for the better. Appeal to the judge that you know you can turn this into a learning experience. Be sincere about it, even if you don't feel that way try to look at a change in a positive light. If the judge feels strongly enough that you're already punishing yourself and changing for the better his/her sentence is more likely to not be a harsh one. With your back against the wall, it seems this is the best route. As my Father once told me, "Prepare for the worst but hope for the best". I wish you the best of luck.

It's weird ya know, I've been sober for almost 2 years now 12-10-05 will be 2 years. I've had a hell of a two years....I finally get sentenced, I just got my license back, I'm still paying my fines, probation appts. random testings, AA meetings, and now this happens. I'm not quite sure how, or why and NO I didn't burn either!! I just feel like a part of me has to admit to something even though I'm having a hard time with it ethically..but at the same time.. I feel I should fight for what's right. Either way I feel like I'M SCREEEWWWWWED
