Actually, it was a little less than 50%. The percentage were looking at, though, is not how many have ever tried it, but how many have used it in the last year. For the US, that figure is 8%

What the... my own university (and its not very pro-weed, but its a university and lots of kids do it) has an above 50% usage in the past year.

Maybe those 8% are mostly college, eh?

Nice job with the math, college boy, glad you explained that 75% is like 3/4. Care to cite the source of your statistics.

I work with marketing research, which surveys almost every student in my university and I oversee the results.

One of the questions was whether the person smoked the reefer in the past 3 months and % was somewhere in the 50s... then there was one about lifetime and % was in the 70s.

75% is 3/4, btw. I double-checked.

EDIT: wait, nevermind, only business students get surveyed. So 50% of business students are potheads? Damn... how are they all plan on passing drug tests to get their jobs..?

OK, college boy. I am s-p-e-l-l-i-n-g this out real slow; you toss statistics around like they are fact and yet without any actual substance. I endeavor to make this site a reasonable source of good information - and not filled with anecdotal opinion. So I'm trying to get you to do the same.

Where did you find:

What I am saying, college-boy, is step it up a notch and actually use some data and not something you pulled out your butt. You are working on a degree in business, but the effort you demonstrate here will have you changing my oil before you get a job as my business adviser. You seem to want us to do all your work . . . and you are not interested in the details of research. There is a site called "Google.com" and it might help your education tremendously, and save us doing your homework..

So, college-boy, since 75% is also 6/8, and 12/16, and 24/32, and 48/64 - what I was really asking is if you have a source for your statistics beyond your feelings. Can you demonstrate that this school you attend actually requires critical thinking?

One of the people in this thread replied with a statistic of 16% for Canadians. I simply placed the wrong number there and said 15%. So, I was referring to that.

In my university every business student has to be surveyed (because every single one has to take a basic marketing class and surveying is a requirement for it). I don't what the number of students is. It was almost a year ago, but the percentages for last 3 months were in 50s, and life were in 70s.

I just think that since my university isn't pro-marijuana then actual numbers are higher in reality.

I didn't know we even had an argument here...
