ok, I've sifted through a lot of the commments in here, and still am not sure what to do. I've thought about emptying cigerettes and refilling with weed, I've also thought about shipping it to myself. I'm flying from chicago to FL (not sure of the airports yet). What do you think? I'd really doubt I'd find someone to sell to me in Disney with my mother, husband and kids.

the cigarette thing definitly sounds risky. if you have it in a pocket , they might ask you to take everything out of the pockets

when u tape it to ur thigh or keep it in ur underwear.. the only way for them to bust u is if they for some reason decide to pat u down.. or theres dogs that smell it on u right?
im just wondering as well, what happens when they do bust you ??(in Canada, not the states) do u go to court or soemthing?

actually.. wat i rele wanted to ask is.. yea the tighty whitey way sounds good and could work.. but rele.. if we can think of this method and it is now such a widely used method.. how possibly could the TSA not be aware of it? the only reason it works is cause in most cases, they know about it but choose not to do anything about it i think, so rele it is probably just luck that determines whether or not it will work.. if they decide that u have weed and want to bust u for it.. they will.. i mean i dont rele think that they are not aware of people taping weed up close to their body to bring it on planes.. they just cant or wont ( for some reason) pat down every passenger to look for it. is this correct? of course there is still the k9 sniffers and thats something else to worry about.

Based on your spelling ability, I assume you are a very young person; and by your question, one who has not traveled.

The TSA is looking for stuff that would compromise the security of the aircraft and airport. A bag of weed in your whitey-tighties is not on the list of items that compromise the security of the aircraft or an airport.

Do they know that pot smokers are bringing weed with them, likely in the travelers' underwear, YES. But there is little they can do. When the TSA finds MJ in your luggage, they can say "Hey, if it was a bomb we would have found it". Start searching everybody's underwear and you will have a big problem with folks just not traveling.

It is not the job of the TSA to find MJ. If they happen to find it then it is a proof that they would have found contraband if that were present.

hey bart thanks for the reply.. acutaly im not that young.. i just type quick and dont waste a lot of time correcting typos most peopel ar able to spot them anyway. and naw i travel quite a bit since im taking mining and need to fly to mines in remote areas.. anyway.. yea tahts wat i mean.. the whole idea of taping it by ur crotch area is so that when they are in the process of looking for "dangerous goods" you might have, the weed doesnt get in the way and pop up forcing them to deal with it, not cauz hiding it their means they cant find it. so pretty much taping it to ur body is a safe bet.. the only problem now is k9s.. in order for a dog to smell weed on u do they have to be within a prety close distance? im just wondering if like u spot some dogs there would u have time to walk away from them or would it already be too late =D

You took my jab at your spelling well, thanks. Words and grammar are important and it is not always best left to the reader to try and "understand" what your meaning is when you right, err, write.

Drug Dogs are only an issue in international travel. If you plan to smuggle internationally then I offer no advice. You risk far too much for it to be done.

I have a lot of experience with dogs, having my own drug dog Fang for 14 years that was trained to search for MJ. My dog Fang learned from playing "Find the Toy"; so she would search when it was time to play. Just walking around was not a constant search, but on command - Fang would find the pot. Everytime.

Fang was so good that I never found a way to hide the toy that she could not get past - peanut butter, coffee, bath salts - it never prevented her from finding the goods. To be clear, I am a pot smoker who had a drug dog, not an LEO, and my dog was around when the boys took hits, smoked and rolled big blunts. Unless I told Fang it was time to "Find the Toy", she could care less about weed - but when searching for it she was ruthless. And always would find it.

I have mentioned before that my sweetie-pie is a public defender, with about 400 client cases in her workload. My dog Fang could pick out the files of defendants with pot issues based on the casual contact that the paper had with client and MJ. A client would write a statement at home, smoking a bowl, and my dog would smell it on the paper.

So you cannot beat the dogs ability to smell. When tasked with the job, a dog is going to find the weed, We have a wonderful LEO here named Phuzz who has a real drug dog, that would be trained far superior to my home-trained Fang. I am sure he would agree, there is no way to hide from a dog. Or your public defender.

wow thats prety impressive man... shit so whehter or not sucessful at bringing weed on a plane rele just depneds on luck.. whether they decide to randomly pat u down or whether there is security there with k9s doing routine drug patrol or something in which case u are owned..=/

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum, and am taking a flight in the next couple of months from New York to Florida. I understand (well) that the tighty-whitey method is by far superior, but I have a couple of questions:

1) Is there a specific way to wrap it up? I've seen suggestions calling for vaseline, baby powder, dryer sheets, etc. Is any of this necessary/sufficient?

2) If I do get selected for a pat down, am I in danger? Are TSA agents allowed to search my entire person? If it was detected, would I face a fine, or actual jail time?

3) Do the new detection machines effectively eliminate the tighty-whitey option? Some recent posts here say that the Ionic Scanner thingy can pick up smells, while experts such as Bart say it is never set for weed. And what of this imaging system I've also read about? Would my weed show up on that?
