Yeah go for it. TSA people have their heads stuck so far up their @$$ that they have enough trouble finding knives and guns in luggage. I agree that going out of the country with it is a lot worse and the penalties are going to be a lot stiffer if you get caught by Customs at a port of entry than if you get caught by some airport officer locally.

Ironically security is really light... Me and my friend were thinking about flying something over to Dallas, but I am not sure how security is over in Dallas International.

But the security at Hartsfield or whatever it's called is really lame

If your trying hard to smuggle some pot from amsterdam or something....

1) Stick the pot in a flame retardent, smell capturing container.

2) Seal as well as possible

3) Move a blowtorch across everything you or the pot has touched (Including hands if your going to touch more stuff)

4) Catch a train to another part of europe or a surrounding country before flying out of the area (Less Security for drugs)

Yah, it's overboard. But if your eccentric.

Hello admins and people.

ok, i'm very aware of the fact that there have been many posts relating to bringing pot on a plane, and I have read a lot of those posts. I realize that theres many ways like, putting it in a shampoo bottle etc, but I just thought of a way that nobody else posted.

I was thinking about removing the batteries inside my cellphone and stuffing weed inside there. Obviously there is no safe way of getting weed on a plane, but there are ways that would lower the chance of getting caught. I do realize that if theres drug sniffing dogs, that I would get caught, but disregarding that there could be drug sniffing dogs, what do you guys think as means of this method for smuggling weed on a plane?

When you say "remove the battery" are you talking about the contents of the battery pack?

If you are, I'd say bad idea. Most airports are requiring you to power up laptops and cellphones to show that they are real, functional devices.

Put it in your pocket and make sure you don't set off the metal detector. Anything more is just plain paranoid and uneccessary.

NS got it right on...

Even before September 11th, I've had to turn on my cell phone at the security gates at the airports. It was for both domestic and international flights too. The one time the battery was dead, and they made me plug in the charger to show that the battery could hold a charge, and wasn't a bomb or anything.

This isn't an anti-drug measure, it's a safety precaution, and a damn important one in my opinion...

I just went on an airplane about two weeks ago. Took my cellphone out of my pocket, placed it in the little basket before you go through the metal detector. They didn't even take a second look at it.

Same here green dragon. I had a cell phone in my backpack and put it through the metal detecter and they never checked it or anything. so yeah i think the cell phone thing would definately work!

Yeah you usually have to turn the cell phone on. I snuck about 2 grams of weed through the airport about 2 weeks ago, and it was LaGuardia (new york), one of the most secure airports. I just had the little baggie in my wallet. Set off the metal detector, got searched, of course they didnt go through my wallet, and that was it. Sniffing dogs aren't that common. But again, it's probably not worth it, I don't think I'm going to test my luck again.
