For overseas deliveries, if LEO finds something green in your letter, 1/2 oz or less, you'll get a green tape letter from Customs. They do not go after you and do not watch your mail. Many folks who get green taped are OK on the resend. It is at most an inconvenience.

As long as you don't have "SSSS" written on your ticket it's not likely that you will be selected for either a pat-down or a bag search unless the asshole at the metal detector decides to pull a random. In that case, just put it in the front of your pants near your croach. They can't search any of your "private" areas unless you alarm the metal detector and then alarm in that area. If you have an obviously bulge in your front they might ask to pat down the area but that is unlikely. Remember to remove any and all metal from your body (you only get two strikes) and refrain from wearing pants with large metal buckles, etc. Follow this advice and you'll be fine.

I took an 1/8th of some pretty stinky stuff on a flight from Virginia to Hawaii. Had to switch planes in Dallas. I carried it on me. I took a pair of long johns and made them shorts. they have a nice deep crotch pocket. wrapped it up good and stuck it down there. Made sure I had no metal on me. Had no problem getting through and to where I was going.

I told myself at the first sign of trouble in the airport I would immediately go to the bathroom and flush it. Ex.: I see cops ahead with dogs or something. Although I'm sure they are probably looking for gunpowder residue or other explosive materials.

All In all smoking on vacation in Hawaii was awesome And I would Definitely do it again.
