BDO's attend a 4 day class, focused mostly on peri-orbital facial expressions and eye-movements based on the research of a popular social-scientist, and therein are "qualified" to judge the intent of an individual.

I have personally been subject to such scrutiny several times - and I refuse to engage in the casual conversation that the BDO wishes. I state that I have no interest in discussing personal and private information, or the purpose of my travel. My exact words are "I am not accustom to discussing personal and private matters with anyone, is there anything else?"

To date, I have received the standard secondary screening and was on my way - and I got the nod from a number of my fellow travelers.

Have any of you guys taken a flight from jamaica back to the u.s with herb? Im going this summer and i am just wondering if they have tighter security for incoming flights from jamaica, mexico, etc. Are dogs legally allowed to sniff a person anyway?

I was planning on taping it on the inside of my thigh near my crotch and put a huge band-aid on it.

My friend was traveling to Florida from Vancouver and he stashed a single joint with no bag in the tongue of his skater shoe where there is a little secret pocket. While checking in a dog walked up and sat next to him followed by the officer. The dog singled at his shoe so they checked it over and over and could not find the J then said he must of stepped on a roach and let him go.

Any thoughts about Logan Airport (Boston) in terms of departure on a domestic flight? It's where the 9/11 flilghts originated and I was wondering how the security is. Thanks.

Domestically, security is intended to be the same at every airport. It has the stated and intended purpose of preventing weapons, explosives and bad actors from getting into the airport secure area and onto aircraft. It does not matter what airport you are traveling from, or that airports prior history, it is based on the same layers of security.

Reality is that the human factor - i.e. the screener - determines your actual experience in his/her interpretation of the secret rules and regulations. My favorite example is the War on Liquids 3-1-1 rule. Who knows what the next screener is going to require? Regional airports are somewhat easier, but the massive volume in a major hub can be in your favor.

Airport Security is not a dragnet for marijuana. It is only found when the traveler makes the mistake of placing it in luggage, checked or carry-on, or carries it in a publicly searched location such as a pocket or socks. By placing your personal-use amount near your private parts (the "whitey-tightey" method), you can easily travel with your stash.

And be aware of the "Behavior Detection" screener who is watching for certain facial and body movements related to nervousness. If you are traveling for the first time through airport security, it is best to experience it once before you carry your stash.

If you would research any followup to that article, the TSA is implementing them with a blurred-out area for privacy concerns, namely the crotch area and the breast area for women.

You should be fine.
Besides, these are being implemented slowly to airports. Are you certain that your departure airport has these x-ray machines?

It's because people don't read.
And yes, we answer the same question over and over, with a few glaring exceptions.
