After reviewing most of the entire thread, I've come to the obvious conclusion that most people feel smuggling marijuana on international flights is not just not worth the risk. I'm almost certain even the smallest amount could have you paying thousands of dollars in fines, not to mention the ungodly prospect of jail time and the personal embarrassment that you'd suffer from family, friends and future employers.

However, I am embarking on my first flight ever from an undisclosed location in Canada to another undisclosed location in the United Kingdom within the near future. My intuition tells me passengers on international flights are subject to added scrutiny in relation to the screening process. Naturally, my brain tells me to avoid the situation at all costs - this being the smuggling of pot into a foreign country - but the little devil on my shoulder is trying to pursuade me into trying it out.

Now, I've read about the certain methods listed here (i.e. tighty whities, shampoo bottle, lunchbags, taped to your thighs, under the nutsack, etc.), but many of these lead me to believe that failure is more often the result here as opposed to success, especially on international flights. I wouldn't recommend the injestion of plastic (i.e. swallowing a ziploc bag filled with bud), but for some reason I feel this would be the safest method possible. Or, as disgusting as the prospect sounds, shoving the bag up the hole where the sun doesn't shine. Unless your person is checked throughly with an x-ray machine, this seems like it would have the highest success rate. While the worst drawback from swallowing the plastic would be asphyxiation, it seems to me the worst scenario you'd have to endure is seperating the marijuana from your body brownies.

Any opinions and suggestions are recommended, discussion is definately encouraged.

Are drug sniffing dogs a certainty when coming off of international flights?

Don't even bother flying internationally. They UK is pretty strict. I have been to the UK twice in the past few months and have seen sniffer dogs there on both occasions. Were they bomb or drug dogs? Can't be sure and wouldn't want to take the chance

Best advice is to go to Camden Town if you are in London and look for rasta people to score some weed there, which I did no problem.

I am thinking of flying out of Seattle Airport using the tightie whitie method. I've never done this in Seattle and am a bit nervous. The past few times I was in Seattle, I thought the TSA peeps at the security were very scrutinizing.

I keep reminding myself the chances that the TSA will feel between your legs by your crotch even if you are selected for secondary screening but I thought I'd post to this board to see if you've had any experiences with Seattle

If you get popped in Washington State with less than an ounce you have to serve a minimum sentence of 1-30 days so it's not just a $100 fine and you're on your flight. So I thought I'd check here to see what people say!

Quick Airport Report -- My Observations of Airports and TSA

Just basic impressions, nothing written in stone here (no pun intended!):

Seattle -- my impression is this is a pretty uptight airport but not as bad as LAX

SFO -- It's ok if you aren't using the International Terminal. I'd say use Oakland instead of SFO if you can help it. SFO seems pretty picky They have those ion scanner machines but seem to never use them. Fortunately marijuana laws in CA are pretty lenient.

LAX -- this place seems to be high security.you could probably get away with tightie whitie method as long as you don't draw attention to yourself. this one time i was recently there i a saw a sniffer dog (not sure if bomb or drug) when i got out of the taxi to check in. I'd say use Long Beach or Burbank if you can instead.

Long Beach - a joke.

Burbank - used to seeing all sorts of wankers going through here. just play it cool and you should be ok. better than LAX

Oakland -- my favorite non major airport. On two occasions out of many, I have seen cops with dogs at the passenger pick up area and around baggage claim, though. A recent change in the past 6 months.

JFK -- not as uptight as LAX, in my opinion. Just play it cool and don't draw unnecessary atttention to yourself. The TSA at JFK are overworked and disgruntled. They are too much in a hurry to be jerks.

LGA -- another smaller regional airport compared to JFK

Las Vegas -- this place gives me the heebee jeebees and there are strict laws in Nevada Probably not worth it but maybe I am paranoid!

Heathrow, London - don't even try it

Amsterdam - don't even try it

Frankfurt Airport -- really tight security. would highly advise against doing anything out of the ordinary there. I set off the metal detector because of a belt and they frisked and searched me and it was highly intrusive and unpleasant.

Dublin -- don't even try it. Security not as tight as in Frankfurt or London but still intense.

I have noticed that more and more passengers are standing up to the TSA. Esp. at JFK, I have noticed that the TSA peeps are becoming more lax, knowing themselves that hassling passengers is bullshit.

You should actually have some experience flying to post in this thread.

Because if you had actually flown, you would know that the cellphone would be x-rayed and your friend would be busted,

Can anyone report a first hand account of not having luck with the tighty whitey method?

Sorry to be dense, but is it (tighty whitey) as simple as it seems. A picture would be helpful.
