We Do Not Want Our Members Smuggling Pot into a Middle Eastern Country, That will Execute You for Smuggling. Go to Turkey and smoke in a Hash House, but please don't get Americans' thinking it's alright to take pot out of this country, USA, and get away with it. I think the Middle East is the worst place to take this Thread. I want you to know that if you have the B*lls to export to a country that does not condone drinking liquor, you are INSANE!

I want to shed some light for some people. First of all I have not smuggled anything but I feel I can add some info to this long ass thread. Below are the airports I have cleared customs in the past year. I am a huge traveler.

Atlanta, GA
Houston, TX
Dallas, TX
Los Angeles, CA
Tulsa, OK
Chicago, IL
Mazatlan, MX
Cozumel, MX
London, UK
Amsterdam, Holland
Paris, France
Vancouver, Canada
Montreal, Canada
Hong Kong, China
Cairo, Egypt
Bangkok, Thailand
(Also walked across the Matamoras/Brownsville,TX border)

Out of all these airports I never encountered any drugs, any searches or anything at all. I have learned how make it through customs every time without a hitch. Dress nicely, take out all metal things before they find them, take your belt off, shave. Everytime I've flown internationally I've realized that I could have easily just put some weed in my pocket and just walked on through.

When I have flown I wear flip flops, no belt and just stroll right on through those detectors. I also was talking to some friends today who went to Alaska and brought back 1.5 ounces. They stashed it in shampoo and "inside them." Brought it all back without a hitch.

So, Jon, since when have they put METAL detectors in Customs? You are confusing two very distinctive issues here, TSA Security Checks and Custom's Inspections. One is done getting on the plane, the other is done getting off.

Do you really want to encourage folks to smuggle when you don't understand the difference? And to suggest the "Shampoo Bottle" trick is only going to make the TSA happy. Did you know that the TSA themselves published an article that states that Shampoo and Conditioner present in the current x-ray technology as similar to plastic explosives and requires extra attention and inspection. I always wonder when I read such a post if some TSA staffer is trying to preserve their job. Afterall, there are some big layoffs coming in October . . .

To anyone who might read this and think certain airports are easier than others, please do not take this list seriously. Domestically, put it in your whitey-tighties - internationally it is best not to do it. Never put it in your luggage, checked or carry-on.

Hey now, I am not condoning anything. You can also think I am some TSA worker and that's fine. I am not trying to prove anything on this thread, I was just giving out some info that some people who might find helpful. To be honest, i am a 19 y/o who travels whenever I'm not in school. Now to clarify somethings.

I am not trying to differentiate anything. I am just stating out of every customs and TSA checks I have been through the past year (which is way more than I can count) I have never encountered any sniffing dogs or anything else that would lead me to worry if I had some weed in my pocket.

As for the shampoo trick, in no way am I condoning that as well. I am simply stating what a friend has done and what has worked .

You spend a lot of time telling us what you are not doing, Jon, but what you are doing a disservice to others who might follow your advice. Your's is the type of advice that one gets from a jailhouse lawyer ( . . . a friend of my cousin said they read that on the internet about someone who . . .) and you haven't any experience with the topic by your own admission. You blur the two types of inspections and suggest your fffeellliiinnngggsss are fact. Most importantly, you have no concern for details. I need to prevent others from going through the experience of getting busted - because I have personal experience of getting busted in an airport - and stopping bad information from continuing to be told.

I have more time backing up in airplanes than you have flying totally. I am two and a half times your age and fly daily; I have more experience! Trust me when I say you are wrong. Drug Dogs are used in Customs Inspections, daily at every international airport you listed. Drug Dogs are not used in TSA inspections, but Shampoo Bottles are specifically a hazard. Enjoy the forum, and accept this as not personal, but people's lives and welfare depend on the truth.

Default That's Art with a B, Simp with a Son. Do the Bartman!

You guys are too kind. I am an idiot who tried to carry MJ in my luggage and got busted. I serve here to prevent others from making the same mistake.

I also serve here to help the young men. I work in a pot-friendly environment, and have about 70 young men working for me - many are Jon's age. What these good kid's don't realize is that by practicing a few precautions, most will never get busted. (Buzzby made an excellent effort with his "smoking/driving" thread which should be a sticky) What I also see is "twisted logic" from young men, preoccupied with their view of life and convinced they know better, walking right into problems. (There is this kid from Canada I'm reminded of . . .)

Thanks for the advice Bart. You sound like you have more experience then me and I believe it. In no way was I trying to encourage anyone but I guess with my post I am just giving hope to others (or else they wouldn't be looking at this thread to begin with.)

There was just so much talk about certain airports I felt I would just share my experiences at all those airports. I'll have to go back and read more of your posts. Sorry about confusion if I made you angry.

Question The best way to travel w/ weed??

Hey every1! First of all this is my first post, and I've been looking around the internet for way too long trying to get some ideas on how to bring some weed with me on a plane trip.
<br> I know, first of all y'all are gonna be like "are you ****ing stupid? why don't you buy some when you get there?" But I'm going to a small-minded midwestern state and I haven't been home in years so I wouldn't even know who to get any from.
I'm only planning on bringing an 8th or so, nothing excessive, but on the off chance that they DO find it, I'm assuming they can get me for trafficking or some **** so I want to be careful.
I've heard rolling 20 joints and sticking them in cigarette packages can work - or since I am coming from California, would it be valid or would it even work if I showed a medical marijuana ID (whether it's real or not, how would they know?!) in another state in the event that I *AM* caught doing this?
So despite the fact that this an idiotic idea, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?!?!? And please, no smart ass comments like "My idea is...leave your **** at home!!" If nothing else I want to show a few of my friends back home how ****ing rad California bomb is.
Thanks and later!
