Default Clif Notes Version . . .

Welcome to the forum. You'll find a 50 page thread called "The Plane Truth" which discusses this, but I'll give you the short version:

For domestic travel, put it in your whitey-tighties; never put it in your luggage, checked or carry-on. Internationally, it is best not to do it. Good Travels.

If you choose to fly with cannabis.. This is the best advice I can give ya.. Have the weed on you, Dont put it in your bag. Your gonna have a way better chance of it being sucesfull, cause dogs less often walk around the airport sniffing around randomly, rather then sniffing the luggae thats about to be put on the plain.
Dress nicley, Like a buisness man. I know someone who brought weed back to canada from europe, He chose to put it in his luggage. it didnt get detected getting on the plane/off.. But when He was getting food a sniff dog was walking around and smelled his luggage, The person asked if he had a sandwich in there earlier and he said yes. The security person just walked away, but he actually had weed in his bag. He just didnt appear to be the stoner type so he didnt think to search his bag and stuff (It was a fairly small ammount of weed though, bout a 1/4th)

All right friend I think I can help you......I have a homie that travels out of the USA on Holidays and stuff.....Now I have not.....I repeat have not tried this method but my homie and his Dad say it works so here it is.........

Pack you 8th tight together......try to make it so you cant smell the weed through the bag.....then my friend says to put the bag in a shampoo container with shapoo in it(try to get a shampoo thats green example pert plus) then pack it with all your other grooming products. With the bag of weed submerged(sp) in shampoo....how would they see or smell(dogs) those lovely buds......I myself would not fly with bud...but your grown and can make your own choices.

DONT DO THE CRIME...IF YOU CANT DO THE TIME.

Survey says....XXXXXXWRONGXXXXX....try again. Dogs will be able to smell the shampoo AND the marijuana. They are trained to react when they smell marijuana, therefore they will hit on the shampoo bottle.

Default Double wrong

And let me mention that the TSA has clearly stated that shampoo and conditioner present in the current x-ray technology similar to plastic explosives and requires additional attention. How come the TSA specifically mentions shampoo, yet it still is the number one urban legend suggested for hiding MJ. Time for Snopes.com . . .

Don't put weed in your luggage, period.

Default Thank you

Just wanted to thank all the people who put such great info in this thread. I'm traveling on Sunday and was going to make some of the rank amateur mistakes that I've seen listed here. This does mean that big jim and the twins are going to have some company - but at least I'm flying first class so I can stretch out

Thanks again for all the great advice!

Stop talking about the dog issue. Dogs are not smelling for Marijuana - they are smelling for bombs. What would happen if a plane blew up and people said WTF are those dogs sniffing, and the cops are like, "oh, those dogs are just sniffing for pot." LOL

keep it in your underwear, I've done it both before and after 9-11. Don't let the man scare you.

Civil disobedience!
