| What if you live in a dorm and one of your roommate sells vast amounts (1-2lbs) and even got a plant? In my state thats going to give you about 10 years minimum sentence. Not only that but that particular person last year got invaded by police and searched because someone narced and said "That person deals" Luckily nothing was found. Each person has his own room and I am on the other side of the apartment from the cannabis room. I already got rid of anything that can get me trouble - paraphernalia, rolling paper, etc. I even cleaned up all the surfaces with some bacterial swipes. But I am still concerned. I am also concerned that many people who never smoked weed hang out in that room all the time and if by any chance cops bust in - everyone in that room is going to get it (completely innocent people as well). What do you do? Do you just keep it quiet and don't hang out over there and try to stay away as far as possible? I don't want any conspiracy charge or get kicked out. When I talk to that person I get "Dude, don't worry about it!" but I know for sure that person would take full responsibility and not say things like "Oh, that guy smoked with me" EDIT: There is another bad detail... his room is mine and mine is his. We switched rooms (because he wanted to be closer to his friend's room). We did that unofficially because its a $500 fine to switch rooms like that. In the room where he lives (mine officially but his by occupation) there is nothing of mine at all. Same goes the other way around. I just wonder if cops could be that anal and get me for that, stating that it is actually MY room and I need to take responsibility for that. I talked to him about that and he said he would definitely take responsibility even for that and state that I know nothing about what was going on there. I do trust him. I don't trust cops because they can be real d*cks. Last edited by MonarchX : 01-03-2008 at 06:02 PM. |

| If it's his room, and you know that he will take full responsibility, I think that maybe you should not worry as much about it. Really, he's the guy that stands to get fucked up the ass....not you. If you want to help him out, I'd try to talk him into staying low key and getting rid of the plant. No loud music, no loud people. I don't understand why he thinks he can grow in his dorm room? The smell alone is going to give him away...

He isn't dumb. The plan is more or less for the heck of it. I doubt he plans on actually growing because he has no equipment and is not planning on getting any. Random fun/show off. You sure about that? A marijuana plant is illegal, last I checked growing marijuana was a bigger charge than just possessing it. Viable buds or not, 'for fun' could easily equal prison time, huge fines, and getting kicked out of your college in a heartbeat.I would tell your friend ditch the plants, quit dealing out of 'your/his' room (meet people elsewhere) and keep low key. I'm surprised you haven't gotten in trouble before, usually the smell of smoke + plant + lots of traffic would be pretty obvious for a security guard or concerned dormmate. Id say it was probably a bad idea to switch rooms without notifying anyone. It could end up really biting you in the ass if he says 'oh no its his room - his plants, his weed, I just sleep in here and keep my stuff in here'. I only say its a bad idea if you get busted though...Also, I would reevaluate your perception of police officers. If you can't trust them, who can you trust? Sure they follow rules and laws I don't necessarily agree with, but they are here to protect and serve - granted, some might be corrupt, and others really just assholes - showing them courtesy and respect first will get you a lot in return.

I sleep in the room that technically his, but mine by occupation. I don't go in the room he occupies AT ALL (not for sleep, not for anything). So its simply mine is his and his is mine at all times. I don't even have the key to whats technically my room. The only time when you need to worry about the smell is when it gets out in the hallway, but to get into the hallway it has to go through 3 doors. Its secure for the smell for sure. Talking isn't doing any good. It only makes him suspicious that I may be narcing on him (I never have). | |
