I am worried about a friend of mine. She is currently seeing and spending a lot of time with a bloke that deals pot -- mostly to his friends, but it is pretty much his sole income and has been for years she tells me. She has probably smoked pot a handful of times in her life and doesn't really like it...it's just never been part of her lifestyle. when she met him, she knew he smoked it, but had no idea he dealt. She likes him, she hates what he does...mostly the dealing aspect. He tells her he wants out of it but she sees that he's in pretty deep. If this guy gets busted, what could happen to my friend, say, if she were at his house for instance? Am I worried for nothing or should I be concerned? Thanks for any help.

If she doesnt like what hes doing and he wont stop....then whats the problem....people....

She needs to smoke a joint and think about it.

She cant get in trouble for being at the house. And like you said he only deals to his friends so its not like he's slanging pounds to a **** load of different faces.

If there is a raid on the house and A lot of pot was in the house , she might not ultimately be charged (although they could NO PROB if they wanted to ) but they would make her go through an offal lot of sh.. and red tape making her wish she was never in that house in the first place .

There is a very rare chance that she would probably get charged with anything, it all depends on the circumstances. From what you've said I think the problem is more on the fact that he deals and she's not cool with it. I can understand this very well for I was in a relationship with a guy who dealt for about a year. It is very stressfull at times. We'd go out and I would know he had some herb on him and that made me extremely nervous at times. The thing is, unlike you're friend I knew he delt before I even got involved with him, and I accepted the fact because there were so many more positives(free herb ).
If you're friend is really concerned and worried about him dealing, then she needs to tell her boyfriend how she feels. Hopefully he isn't doing anything that involves her in his business. For example, when he's making a deal she's not there, or he doesn't do it while at her house, in her car, etc. I'm sure she'll be fine, there are so many other reasons why she likes him and she should just accept the fact that this is the way he makes a living.

I wouldn't say there's anything to worry about but she could be charged with 'Guilt by Association'.

The law say's , if you are in the house at the time of a bust that you can also be charged even if you don't live at the house.

I would think that at the very least they could make her life pretty miserable to get some testimony out of her... and to put added pressure on him.
