|  In newyork just how much pot is needed to confiscate your car I was wondering cause I remember a few years back there was a law passed that allowed them to take your car even for something as small as a simple possession charge. |

| The only way they can take your car is if you are trafficking,dealing,DUI,transporting or growing copious amounts of marijuana. |

| There is generally no numeric value for what constitutes dealing. Usually it would be large amounts of marijuana broken down into dime bags and 8ths and have drug dealer para., cell phones and pagers etc. Also them catching you in the act of dealing, obviously.There is alot of grey area in the law on what constitutes "intent to sell". So basically dont drive around with LARGE amounts of mj. Just be careful and use your brains. |

| I almost got arrested a couple days after Xmas, they found all the weed we had, some papers and thats about it, (had like 4-5 grams alltogether) Had to have my parents come and get me, they even gave the weed back and i got to keep my car Lucky me  |

| I know in a lot of areas once you have 2 pounds or more it's considered trafficking; dealing could also be any amount though if you had a scale or your stash was bagged up.
