Religious claim - does it work?

I apologize for such numerous threads, but I'm asking good questions I think...

People sometimes get away from things (like the Army) by claiming its against their religion and they provide evidence (attending church, etc).

They "provide a legitimate religious 'defense to prosecution' for sincere people over 21 years old"

Just how much of a scam are these things because religion CAN get you out of things sometimes, but Cannabis Religion...too laughable???

According to the website it works.. but they are also trying to sucker $250 out of you. The testimonials and the website look too sketchy in general. Plus, if it worked wouldn't we all be members by now? I don't know.. if it sounds too good to be true it most often is.

No, it offers NO PROTECTION. Marijusana use is not protected under "freedom of religion" The ONLY exception made to the Cotrolled Substances Act, in regards to religion, is the exception which allows bonafide members of the Native american Church to use peyote.

I haven't heard about that, but a couple who ran a marijuana church out of Arizona recently got busted with major poundage. The religious defense didn't do them a bit of good.

Temple 420?.....right there was his problem. he should have called his church, the Holy High Shrine of the Divine Sacred Sativa God. I would have had a cross with Jesus on it and instead of a Crown of Thorns, it would have been some marijuana leaves. I would have rewritten the bible saying that on the seventh day god created MJ, smoked a joint and took the rest of the day off.

and you still wouldn't have approval from the DEA to use marijuana, so what would be the point? NO church has gained approval to use MJ, so I don't think following your steps would change that.

even rastafarians have serious problems with using the religion defence, so unless you are a rastafarian don't even try it you will always get locked up for MJ....until its legalized
