Well, this is more of a law thing, so I figured it would go in here.
I may be moving down to Cali, and would love a link (or just having them posted if it's easier, though I can't imagine it would be) to the Californian laws concerning MJ. I've heard they are extremely lenient which is one of the, what I like to call "awesome" factors in my decision.

Yeah, NORML does a good job with the breakdown, state by state. As you read, remember that federal law trumps state law and state law trumps city law. Unless of course, the city/state has been granted "home rule" status, or if the state's constitution states that the city laws are respected as much as state laws....

Unless you are dealing, cultivating, or transporting in volume, the DEA has no interest in you. Representatives have said that they won't be bothered with grows of less than 100 plants or dealing in tens of pounds.

What Buzzby pointed out is true. I was trying to give you how the system works in all laws, not just cannabis ones. It's pretty important, and will help you understand what is happening in California a lot better.

But even though Federal prohibition "trumps" your state prohibition, unless you're dealing with some serious weight/money, you're not going to be picked up by the DEA, but by your city and county cops, and by the state troopers.
