First of all, howcome there are websites selling seeds in USA but no sites that sell actual marijuana? I thought seeds are also considered marijuana... and you get the same charges for having them as for possession. I don't see how these sites haven't been shut down after years of operating. They are WITHIN USA borders.


Second question - are there good chances that your package will be intercepted? What trouble would you get into for that?

And if has not been intercepted but DEA found out whats in it - wouldn't they start looking into you and eventually raid you?

Could you name a few US seed sites? All of the ones I've seen have been in Canada, the UK, or Europe. I'm surprised that such sites could stay in business.

I think he meant that some seed companies will SHIP to the US, not that there are US-based seed companies

You just don't know if they will come after you. They already have probable cause to search the residence of the address on the seed package. Seeds are illegal although the number of seeds usually sold by a seed company makes the quantity so small as to not be a felony. For all you know, they are just starting their investigation of you once they intercepted the seeds. They are probably asking themselves why does this guy want seeds. And the answer they usually have is this...the guy wants to grow some weed....criminal intent....conspiracy to commit.

My thoughts exactly... But would you know if your seeds have been intercepted and given back to you so that you have no idea about what they know? I know when my airport bags get searched they put a sticker!

There is one problem with that. They cant know for a fact that you wanted to receive seeds in the mail. For all they know some random person just send marijuana seeds to you without you even knowing it. I'm not saying it wont raise some suspicion, but i dont think the cops are going to build a case over a few MJ seeds. However, if you had 100 seeds shipped, that could be a different story. Just dont have them sent to your grow address, and there isnt much to worry about.

No, they do not have probable cause simply for you receiving seeds in the mail.
As someone else said, for all they know someone could've just sent you the seeds in the mail without your knowledge. The same goes for marijuana through the mail. They sure can ask you if you had any knowledge that someone was going to send you illegal contraband through the mail, but if that happens your best bet is to just deny deny deny.

I would figure seeds to be the very lowest priority. They have much other online business like these they rather take down, such as MoM's, online pharmacies and other people that sell almost any drug you can imagine. Unless your order is of a large size, you're package is almost always just seized no matter what it contains.

This is only from personal experience, and discussions I've had with others that use mail-order. I think you'd be safe...but just as precaution I probably wouldn't do it.

Yeah I would get a fake ID, get a P.O. Box and have seeds sent there, use cash, and gloves to leave no finger prints on the box.
