| So I was arrested almost 8 months ago for possession of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance (a friggin lunesta). Seeing as it was my first charge, and I was 20 at the time, and I quit smokin right when the incident occurred, I was able to get youthful offender. My lawyer just told me I was accepted into a diversion program, and would be in some sort of rehab for 6 months then be good to go. Does this shit always last 6 months? Or if I'm clean for the first half do they let me go early? I'm not omgz i gots to pass a drug test halp, more like, man, I'm ready to at least enjoy a blaze once in a while and don't want this shit drug out for much longer. EDIT: Guess I should say I'm in Alabama, and my youthful offender docket just cleared like... a month and a half ago. It was postponed for a while. |

| Six months without getting high isn't so bad. I'm off probation in two weeks; it's been over a year now. Trust me, smoking while you're being regularly drug tested is a great way to increase your stress level. It can also get you into serious trouble. Don't bother. My guess is that if your lawyer says six months, it'll be six months. |
