Marijuana bust

I live in Maine in the U.S. and I was wondering if anyone knew the law for getting busted for growing pot. Also I wanted to know how much pot do you need to be considerd a dealer.

Is there a certain amount you have that they consider you a dealer? Can't they only bust you for conspiring to distribute or something if you have a lot (if they can do anything like that)?

Cultivation
5 plants or less misdemeanor 6 months $1,000
5 - 100 plants misdemeanor 1 year $2,000
100 - 500 plants felony 5 years $5,000
More than 500 plants felony 10 years $20,000

Sale
1 lb or less misdemeanor 1 year $2,000
More than 1 lb misdemeanor 1 year $2,000
Sale to minor or within 1,000 feet of a school or on a school bus

erg look at this: Possession of less than 1.25 ounces is a civil violation, punishable by a fine of $200 - $400. Possession of 1.25 ounces or more is considered evidence of intent to distribute and is punished as such (see below).

1.25 oz = intent to distribute.

Also:
The state has decriminalized marijuana to some degree. Typically, decriminalization means no prison time or criminal record for first-time possession of a small amount for personal consumption. The conduct is treated like a minor traffic violation.

Possession with intent to sell...

It varies by province and state, but it generally only applies to larger amounts. Aggravating factors, such as numerous small baggies and scales will add to the possiblity of intent charges, so make sure you don't carry those.
