When they finally do make weed legal, farmers all over the U.S will undoubtably grow it.
Do you guys think that there will a huge amount of people stealing weed from the fields?
I think if they do make it legal that only certain facilities will legally be able to grow it.

It would most likely be grown similarly to tobbaco feilds. And im sure companinies will invest in securtiy measures to ensure theft is highly unlikely.

Duh, no. If you finish your thought, you'd realize that if pot were grown all over the US, it would be as cheap as tobacco .

Who steals tobacco?

The reason pot is so expensive now is not because it's expensive to grow, it's because demand outweighs supply. Also, you're not paying for the weed itself, you're paying for the risk distributors take in getting it to you.

You're half right. It costs about $5-10.00 to grow an ounce of weed using hydroponics, less if grown outdoors.

The sole reason marijuana costs $400-500.00 an ounce is the Black Market. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, I have ever known that sold for a profit justified the price as their compensation for the risks involved.

Excuse me, but I don't buy a 500% mark up as compensation, it's price gouging at its worst and it'll just keep getting worse until marijuana is legal and regulated.

im sure weed wont be completly legal in the US, maybe just decrimilized, if anything. So growing would most likely still be illegal, or youl hafta have a pricy permit or somthing to grow, and the pentatlies of cultivation would also be decreased. So i wouldnt expect to see fields full of weed plants on the side of roads.

I'm sure until they figure out a way to tax marijuana, then it won't be legalized. The government is waiting to figure out how they can get the most money out of this. I really think they could probably give a rat's ass if it's even harmful.. just as long as they make money. But with it being legalized, you'll most likelt get the same thing as cigs... they will be packed with so many chemicals so then it actually will become physically addictive... But that's just my take on the whole thing...

Where exactally do you live? I live in the middle of nowhere, and there are no big cities anywhere near me, and I can find pot for $100 to $120 an ounce. That is expensive compared to the prices I can find them in the closest big city near me.

I don't know where people like you get hookups...I've never found nug for less than $40 for 1/8th.

$15/lid for run-of-the-mill, $20/lid for 'excellent', and $25-$30/lid
for 'what were we talking about again?'...oh yeah, for the younger
generation, a 'lid' was approximately an ounce, perhaps 4/5th...

Christ mate, where you finding this expensive weed. I get the stuff for $240 an oz and that's in Aussie dollars!
